Where we began...
After years of working within the property industry, Sarah Wood found some of her clients were finding it really hard to gain planning for residential property lettings. Keen to resolve this problem, Sarah suggested the idea of holiday lettings as an alternative and a business was born.
Mulberry Cottages was established in 2006 and has continued to go from strength to strength, winning many awards on the way both for their customer service and for their renowned marketing!

Since being established, we have grown in size and scope. Today we have a stunning collection of over 300 handpicked luxury properties covering the South of England – and we’re constantly growing!
We have holiday cottages that will suit everyone’s needs! Anything and everything from large holiday homes perfect for those special occasions, private romantic love-nests for two or maybe a holiday cottage that will welcome little Rex the dog!

Ultimately, our mission is to provide guests with a huge choice of luxury self-catering properties across the UK and our owners with invaluable advice, service and promotion.
As the company has grown so has our team and we currently employ over 20 staff and now have 3 offices – Canterbury, Kent and Hartfield, East Sussex and our most recent office in Winchester, Hampshire. We are proud to say that the team at Mulberry Cottages is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and have the guest and owner at the forefront of their minds!
Our team consists of our hands on and very enthusiastic Director, Sarah Wood who oversees the entire company and is very much involved on a day-to-day basis. She is ably assisted by:
Business manager - Melanie Galvin, Business manager for Mulberry Cottages oversees all aspects of the company, including managing the busy booking team.
Booking team - Anamaria Lopez heads up the sales booking team, they are on hand 7 days a week to deal with enquires and bookings for the holiday cottages in our collection.
Property managers - Rowena Owen, Chris Knight, Mandie Davis and Rebekah England are the property managers and they and their efficient teams are your point of contact for all property matters from advising you on current legislation, to pricing, discounts and information on your contract. They and their teams arrange to take photos, update descriptions prepare projected income and detailed statistics of your property performance.
Property administrators - We have a strong team of administrators who provide vital support for the property managers, Sarah Rowe, Yasmine Musha and Maura Smith
Marketing team - Emma Reynolds and Sophie Whelpton are in the Marketing team and they work behind the scenes managing our websites, social media, email marketing, search engine optimization as well as arranging press trips, producing the annual brochure, postcards and flyers.
Accounts - Elizabeth Elliot is our management accountant who is your first point of contact for any account or billing queries.

Mulberry Cottages is growing fast; from our humble beginnings above an estate agency in Wye, Kent to controlling three fully manned, buzzing offices in Kent, Sussex and Hampshire!
Our head office is located in the heart of Canterbury and is home to the booking team, marketing team and accounting. Our Sussex and Hampshire offices are perfectly located for our property managers to explore Southern England stretching all the way to the tip of Cornwall!

She went out of her way to try to help me secure a booking on one of your cottages - unfortunately it did not work out this time and we ended up booking elsewhere (I wasn't the final decision maker and I am afraid I was overruled!). However she constantly kept me up to date, always returned my calls and I found her very helpful. It is very easy to get upset and people are always quick to complain but they are not so fast at appreciating good service or sending in a compliment - I work in a service industry as well and certainly recognised her attention to detail, she is an asset to your company.
