Great properties for group accommodation in Dorset

Dorset is one of those beautiful counties that gets by-passed by those heading off to Devon and Cornwall.  Why travel so far, when there is so much to see and do in this fabulous county.  You may have enjoyed the ITV series Broadchurch where Dorset’s coastline played a starring role alongside David Tennant and Olivia Colman.

We have some fabulous holiday cottages in Dorset.

Milton Abbas has a High Street of charming thatched cottages and an Abbey in a wonderful setting. For a generous Sunday lunch nearby try The Fox a large pub and former brewery at Ansty.

Not far away, in the grounds of a water mill you can spend a great holiday in The Miller’s House.

This idyllic very ‘English’ versatile country cottage is actually two properties next to each other providing completely separate self catering holiday cottages or can be booked as a spacious house with five bedrooms and a large dining room providing seating for ten.  With many original features including the brick oven, and pretty window seat, The Miller’s House is a lovely place to go in winter or summer with the cosy log burner and many welcoming touches.

Set in the very heart of Thomas Hardy country with its rolling countryside and wonderful walks, there is much to see and do, including visiting Thomas Hardy’s cottage itself which the National Trust have lovingly restored so you can imagine yourself back in time in his novel ‘Far from the Madding Crowd’.

26 The Green is absolutely charming!  This gorgeous thatched cottage is within a ten minute walk of the wonderful sandy beach of Studland Bay. It sleeps 2 adults and 2 children comfortably and is so quirky

The South West Coastal path is a short distance away from this Dorset holiday cottage giving excellent walking and spectacular views of the Jurassic Coast.

If you are planning an evening out, you can always walk to the local pub which has a delicious menu!

A little further along the coast, Southbourne Grand is perfect for group accommodation.   This large celebration house is within walking distance of the coast and a stone’s throw from the city lights of Bournemouth, all of which will ensure your party goes with a bang.

Church Cottage in Cattistock is charming, with a stunning interior.

Such a pretty cottage

Cattistock is a small pretty village nestling in the heart of typically rolling Dorset countryside with a well-stocked village shop and post office just 50m from the house. There’s also a good pub serving excellent food for days you don’t wish to cook or for a quick well deserved pint after a long walk in the Dorset hills. It’s just a 30 minute drive to the spectacular cliffs and coast at West Bay made famous by the TV series ‘Broadchurch’ whilst Charmouth, famous for its fossils is only a 40 minute drive.

You will love visiting Dorset, it has so many beautiful English towns and villages to explore.  With the stunning coastline and fabulous countryside, there is so much to see and do – all you need is the holiday accommodation!  To book please call us on 01227 464958 or visit our website at www.mulberrycottages.com
