Lovely things to do in East Anglia this Christmas

If you’re thinking of spending Christmas in Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex or Cambridgeshire this year, East Anglia is putting on a fabulous show.  The area will be covered in twinkly baubles and silver lovliness, to brighten up the darkest part of the year.

There’s also loads to do in the run up to the festive season. On the weekend of the 29 November,  there is a lovely Christmas Fayre being held at nearby Saffron Walden.  There is also the Father Christmas express on the Audley End Miniature Railway; a trip on a mini train in to the woods to meet Father Christmas and go on an enchanting fairy & elf walk!  North and South Lodge, have availability around this weekend and Crest Lodge is free 28 & 29 November.

Another thing Thursford put on for the children is Santa’s Magical Journey which really is very pretty.  We take my niece most years and she says it is spellbinding and she walks around totally mesmerised.

People travel miles and miles for this – it really is amazing!  It is around a 45 minute drive from the Norfolk Rectory but you know what Norfolk roads are like – it’s not far as the crow flies!
