For a lot of us, the thought of coasting down a hill on an Autumns day with the wind in your hair conjures up memories of being a child and having no cares in the world!

Half term is very quickly creeping up on us and the focus is firmly on sports this Autumn after the amazing Olympics this Summer! Taking in all the glorious sights of Kent in the saddle seems like a no-brainer (no petrol costs, no worries – the list goes on!)

Crab and Winkle Way cycle route is a great cycle route to take in the best that Kent has to offer, you begin your journey in the delightful seaside town of Whitstable with a working harbour, fresh fish, boutique shops, restaurants, pubs and art galleries. The Crab and Winkle cycle route is about 10 miles and winds you through the delightful Clowes Wood.

You follow the well signposted paths which will eventually lead you out of the lovely Clowes  Wood and into the open countryside

Then you will enjoy views of the beautiful countryside that Kent is so famous for! After 10 lovely long miles you will end up in the beautiful historic City of Canterbury, with its array of historical sites such as the world famous Cathedral and the ancient ruins of St Augustine’s Abbey and St Martin’s Church. Canterbury is also home to the amazing new Marlowe theatre where London West end shows come and visit. The shopping is excellent with a huge array of designer and high street brands and there is restaurants that will event please the fussiest of eaters!
