The Lodge is furnished in a traditional style and has a very homely feel to it, offering good value for money for a self catering holiday cottage. In this rural location it is often possible to see deer grazing in the fields surrounding the Lodge. With many different places to visit throughout the year this area of East Sussex is a good location for your vacation.

The Lodge Description

This Sussex home has been converted from a farm building to create a homely self catering holiday cottage. This Sussex holiday cottage is situated in the grounds of the main house and it overlooks open Sussex countryside and paddocks. This holiday cottage in Sussex is located at the end of a small lane so is very peaceful with no traffic noise. Nature surrounds the luxury holiday cottage in Sussex and deer can often be seen in the early morning in the nearby fields.

Literally on the doorstep of this self catering holiday cottage in Sussex are many footpaths ready to be explored. Also as this luxury Sussex holiday cottage is dog-friendly it is the perfect place for you to take your four-legged friend! There are excellent local Sussex pubs for food and refreshment, the nearest being just a 10 minute walk away from this holiday cottage in Sussex.

This self catering holiday cottage in Sussex has been furnished in a traditional style with an open plan living/dining area. Surrounding this Sussex holiday cottage is a terrace area with table and chairs and also a charcoal barbeque - a relaxing area to sit and enjoy after discovering all that the local area of Sussex has to offer.

The Lodge Holiday Accommodation

The front door of the Lodge leads directly into the open plan living/dining room. Furnished in a traditional style this room has a homely feel to it, with rugs on the floor and throws on the chairs. In one corner there is an oak dining table which seats four and a small old dresser which holds an attractive mix of china and glassware for use in the cottage. There is a single bed with floral bedspread against one wall, with bedside table and lamp; this bed can be used as seating during the day. A two-seater green gingham sofa (which is also a sofa bed) is arranged in front of the small TV and Radio. Please note there is no DVD at this property. This room has plenty of occasional tables, and bookshelves with an array of paperback novels and games for your use. There is also a small wardrobe for storage in one corner.

Leading from the main living room is the kitchen, shower room and double bedroom. The double bedroom has a standard double bed with bed side table and lamp, and also a small pine chest of drawers. Please note that bed linen is provided at this property, but not towels.

The shower room is a bright room painted in yellow, with a good sized shower, WC and basin. Please note there are no towels provided at this property.

The kitchen is small but functional with electric Oven, washing machine, fridge and microwave. There are plenty of cooking utensils provided for your stay.

Outside is a terrace surrounding the Lodge which has a wooden table and four chairs, and also a charcoal barbeque.

Parking is provided next to the paddock beside the Lodge. The Lodge does not have an enclosed garden, but the owner is happy to share her garden with the holidaymakers including any dogs!

The South Coast offers all the traditional seaside attractions for you to enjoy during your stay at this luxury holiday cottage in Sussex. Also nearby Sussex towns such as Hastings and Eastbourne are well worth a visit whilst you are at this holiday cottage. For quieter beach locations near to this holiday cottage in Sussex head for Winchelsea to the East and Pevensey Bay to the West. The coast and cliff top walks at Beachy Head, in Sussex, are within a 20 minute drive away from this self catering holiday cottage.

This holiday cottage is in an area of Sussex which has so many historical places to visit. With this holiday cottage in Sussex being close to Battle with its 1066 history and wonderful Battle Abbey, Penshurst Place, Hever Castle and the picturesque Bodiam Castle, there is so much to do and explore in this area of Sussex.
