The self catering holiday cottage in Kent has three living areas giving all members of the party space to enjoy their holiday in Kent, from the comfortable and peaceful main sitting room with its banks of cream leather sofas and wooden parquet floor, to the cosy study where a TV is cleverly housed in a hidden cupboard, and open fireplace.
A particular feature of the holiday cottage in Kent is the large light and airy conservatory, where there is dining for 12 as well as ample space for seating. The owner of this self catering holiday cottage in Kent has tried to cater for everyone's needs and with this in mind the ground floor bedroom is equipped with an electric orthopaedic bed and ensuite shower room, all this will ensure you have a relaxing and comfortable stay in Kent.
Outside of the Kent holiday cottage, besides the private decking area there are wonderful landscaped Kent gardens to explore with a stream, slide and picnic bench and over a wooden bridge the meadow beyond has a tennis court and koi/carp lake to enjoy during your stay at this Kent holiday cottage.
We would ask because of the stream and lake that all
children are supervised at all times.
The front door leads into a porch with space for coats and boots. An inner door leads into the hallway with guest cloakroom and utility cupboard housing the washing machine and dryer. An archway leads into the main sitting room with parquet floor, L shaped leather sofas and chaise longue, inglenook fireplace with log burning stove, 32" widescreen HD TV/DVD and Freeview.
A pair of doors leads from this room into Bedroom 5 with orthopaedic single bed and ensuite shower room comprising shower and basin.
From the hallway there are two steps up to the kitchen with dishwasher, electric hob and oven, extractor fan, American fridge freezer with ice maker and filtered water, microwave oven and radio.
The conservatory can be reached from the kitchen or via two steps from the hallway. This room has dining for 12 in addition to several armchairs and double doors to the decking area with barbeque and seating.
The study/library leads off the kitchen with sofabed, TV cabinet with TV, DVD and Freeview, open fireplace and stairs to the first floor.
On the first floor there are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has large oak kingsize bed, dressing table, fitted cupboard, chest of drawers, single bed and 21" Freeview TV/cabinet. A door from this room leads into the ensuite bathroom with bath, shower over, wc and basin.
Bedroom 2 is a double room with ornamental fireplace, fitted cupboard, dressing table and chest of drawers, bedside tables, lamps and iron corner unit. Bedroom 3 is a twin room with fitted cupboard and combination chest of drawers/dressing table. Bedroom 4 has a single bed with further single under so the room can sleep 2, bedside table, lamp and tallboy. There is a family bathroom (newly installed in March 2010) on this level with bath, shower, wc and basin.
Outside there is parking for a maximum of three cars on the driveway, with shared landscaped gardens with slide, stream, picnic bench and wooden bridge leading to the meadow with tennis court, koi/carp lake and peaceful areas to enjoy the wonderful views.
This self catering holiday cottage is situated in Ashford, Kent. The holiday cottage is just outside the Kent village of Ruckinge with its popular village pub (about 10 minutes walk away). The Kent village itself is on the very edge of Romney Marsh, renowned for its walks and a birdwatchers paradise with its large variety of bird life attracted to this unspoilt marshland area that has hardly changed since medieval times.
The long sandy beaches of this part of Kent are within a twenty minute drive from the self catering holiday cottage; here the sand stretches as far as the eye can see. There are many water sports available for you to undertake during your stay at this holiday cottage in Kent, and it's a great place to visit all year round. For children the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Light Steam Railway that winds its way along the Kent coast is a truly special day out from the luxury holiday cottage in Kent - or a way to get to the beach as it stops in several spots very close by!
For those staying in this Kent holiday cottage who like to golf, there are some wonderful links courses at Littlestone, Rye and Sandwich. The Kent towns of Tenterden and Rye are both within a few miles of this holiday cottage and here there are many individual shops and boutiques, coffee shops and antique markets making these Kent towns a lovely place to explore during your stay at this holiday cottage. For garden enthusiasts staying at this holiday cottage in Kent, both Sissinghurst Castle and Great Dixter are within forty minutes together with several castles and National Trust properties for a fun day out in Kent.

All heating charges are included in the rental. Refundable security deposit of £150 payable. Dogs welcome. Cot and highchair available. Parking for three cars maximum available - however, if further spaces are required please contact the owner prior to your stay in order to arrange this. Short breaks of 2, 3 or 4 nights available at a cost of 75% of the weekly rental.
