The Hereford Holiday Accommodation

The front door leads through to a hallway with staircase to first floor. A door from the hallway leads into the farmhouse kitchen with quarry tiles floor, table and chairs for 8, dresser, and large understairs storage cupboard. The kitchen equipment includes fridge, freezer, electric cooker, washing machine, microwave, and dishwasher.

There are three steps up from the kitchen into the carpeted sitting room with log burning stove, 26" Freeview TV/DVD with Freeview. This room has patio doors to the private patio garden and an L shaped bank of brown leather sofas together with a matching two seater double sofa bed with sprung base.

Upstairs, there are three double bedrooms and two bathrooms in the eaves of the cottage so head room could be a problem. The master bedroom hasa double bed, Tallboy cupboard, bedside tables and electric panel heater with door to ensuite bathroom (newly installed in March 2010) with bath, shower over, wc and basin.

The second bedroom has twin beds, two single wardrobes, chest of drawers, radio and electric panel heater and the third bedroom is also a twin room with bedside table and electric panel heater. The family bathroom (newly installed in March 2010) has bath, shower, wc and basin.

Outside the cottage has its own patio garden with tables and chairs, together with use of the landscaped gardens including picnic table, stream, meadow with koi/carp lake, tennis court and communal charcoal barbeque.

Local Information about Ruckinge, Kent

This self catering holiday cottage is situated in Ashford, Kent. The holiday cottage is just outside the Kent village of Ruckinge with its popular village pub (about 10 minutes walk away). The Kent village itself is on the very edge of Romney Marsh, renowned for its walks and a birdwatchers paradise with its large variety of bird life attracted to this unspoilt marshland area that has hardly changed since medieval times.

During the Olympic Games (27th July to 12th August) Southeastern will be operating a Javelin shuttle service using high speed trains from St Pancras International and Ebbsfleet International Stations to the Olympic Park in Stratford. Five trains per hour will run between these stations, with a further two departures from Ashford International each hour and one departure an hour from Faversham. Ebbsfleet International Station is one of the official 'Park and Rail' Services and just 10 minutes by high-speed rail link into the centre of the Olympic Park
