Wishing to avoid busy Brighton to spend a quiet New Year's eve - we couldn't have wished for a more perfect place... Good dog walks (albeit wet & muddy) on Hothfield Common NW of Ashford and Dering Woods, South of Egerton (car park halfway along the only road through the wood). Easy walking distance to pub, The George in Egerton - path right outside cottage across the field.
Thank you for a very cosy, comfortable and well equipped cottage.

We decided to swap the coast for the country for a week and we have had a fabulous time in your little cottage. Thank you so much for the welcome basket of gifts. It was a lovely surprise and very kind of you. We especially like the eggs (double yolks!) and apple juice. We have had some great tramps around the fields and then relaxing times by the stove. The cottage is perfectly equipped and very comfortable, and we have all really enjoyed being here. We've also had fun watching your puppy playing on the lawn. Thank you again.

We had a wonderful stay in this cottage. We relaxed from the moment we arrived and everything we needed was there. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and they left us a huge basket of welcome gifts (never had one like it !!) which was really kind.
We had some good days shopping in Ashford and Tenterden and fabulous country walks. The best part was coming back to sit by the woodburner and relax. Highly recommended.

Thank you for a very comfortable stay in your lovely cottage. It has been a perfect escape from city life. We've enjoyed a hectic schedule of day trips; Dover, Canterbury and Broadstairs our favourites! The location is perfect, some great local walks. We would love to stay longer and a return in the summer would be ideal so we could make the most of the cottage garden and local beer gardens!
