The cottage has the use of a swimming pool and tennis court and for larger parties or group accommodation you can combine the other barns in the complex to sleep up to 36. This rural cottage is surrounded by farmland where you can hire mountain bikes or arrange clay pigeon shooting with the owner. Ideally located just an hour and half from London and close to both historic Faversham and the popular seaside town of Whitstable there is lots to do during your stay!

The stunning self catering house nestles in a quiet location in glorious Kent countryside on the North Downs and yet within just a few miles of motorway connections and the Channel Tunnel for visits to France; hereby you can experience more than just Kent when you come and stay in this stunning English property. This large self catering holiday cottage in Kent has been finished to the very highest standard with a bespoke oak and granite kitchen and traditional tiled floor yet leaving many original features, which give the luxury holiday house so much character. This beautiful English country cottage overlooks landscaped gardens to the front and rear and shares the use of a heated swimming pool and tennis court.
The rooms of this self catering holiday cottage in Kent themselves are spacious and light with a wonderful open plan kitchen dining and living space with doors onto the sunny south facing patio. In addition this living area has large comfortable sofas and is a lovely room to relax in after a busy day exploring Kent!
Pets are welcome as long as they behave themselves and there is good mobile coverage at this English country house in Doddington, Kent.
This is a lovely family holiday house in Kent with space and light, and lots of activities to do right on your doorstep and yet within easy reach of all that Kent has to offer - not to mention both France and London within an hour!

The charming Kent holiday house is entered through the spacious tiled hallway with lots of space for coats and boots, which leads through to the spacious kitchen living space - such a feature of this wonderful oast. At one end of this light and airy space is a brand new limed oak kitchen with granite work surfaces. The kitchen area has dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer, electric oven and hob, microwave and extractor fan and there are doors onto the sunny south facing patio. There is dining for 10 at the table and oak flooring throughout, together with comfy sofas grouped around a coffee table for those happy family occasions. A TV, DVD and Sky TV complete the scene, and this sunny room looks out over the patio area and garden to the rear of the property. There is a family room next to the kitchen living space, containing a double bed and two single beds. There is also a cloakroom on the ground floor.
The staircase in the self catering accommodation rises from the hallway to the first floor, which is fully carpeted. There is one double bedroom with a 5ft double bed - this leads through to an ensuite shower room (with shower, wash hand basin and toilet). As well as access from the internal staircase, this room can also be reached from outside up the original external loft staircase. In addition there are two twin double rooms, together with a family bathroom with bath and integral shower, wash hand basin and toilet.
A cot and high chair are available on request.
There is car parking for the holiday accommodation under cover for two cars in the restored open fronted wagon shed, together with further parking available on the driveway. The holiday house has a large patio area to the front with seating for 10 and a barbeque, with a larger area to the rear for more boisterous play and shared use of a heated swimming pool and tennis court
The English country house is part of the Torry Hill Estate and holidaymakers will have full use of the estate to enjoy during their stay at the Kent holiday let, including its 30 km of woodland paths and bridle paths for visitors to explore more of the Kent countryside. On the estate there is an established circular walk through the elegant parkland and along a Victoria carriage drive. In the spring Kent's bluebell woods and blossom from the cherry orchards are a sight to see! There is a riding stable near to this luxury holiday barn in Kent where horse riding and mountain bikes are available for hire together with maps of recommended routes through the estate's woodland. In addition for a fun day out of the English country barn, clay pigeon shooting can be organised by prior arrangement, at a cost of £45 per person which includes cost of cartridges. There are several pubs near to this luxury holiday cottage, offering good pub food, the nearest of which is at Milstead, Kent.
The county town of Maidstone is 15 miles to the west, from this particular holiday let in Kent, with the historic cathedral city of Canterbury within 25 minutes. Access to the Channel Tunnel is at junction 12 of M20 and it can be reached in half an hour - crossings take 35 minutes, hereby you can enjoy more than just Kent when you come to stay in this luxurious and large holiday barn. Bookings can be made via the link on our website. For day trips to London, there is a regular service every half hour from Sittingbourne in Kent, not far from this holiday barn, which takes about an hour. The North Kent coast is only a few miles away, where the reserves at Elmley and Oare offer some of the best bird watching in the south-east for you to enjoy whilst you stay in Doddington, Kent, especially in winter.
Further afield this self catering holiday house is well placed for visits to Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens, the naval dockyards at Chatham or a visit to the wonderful medieval castles dotted right along the Kent and Sussex coast (we have more castles in Kent than any other county!).

This is a carbon neutral development and all heating is supplied by the estates own coppiced woodland at no charge to the holidaymaker. In addition, much of the electricity comes from a renewable source. A refundable security deposit of £150 is payable with the balance of the rent. Dogs welcome as long as they behave themselves. Please note Friday changeover day.
