This good sized holiday cottage has two double bedrooms and two ensuite shower rooms offering a great deal of comfort and privacy to holidaymakers. It has a sunny and light aspect and is furnished to a high standard with quality modern furniture enhanced by the style the landlord has brought to this excellent complex, perfect for a self catering holiday.

The kitchen is well equipped (with dishwasher, fridge, microwave, electric oven and extractor fan), and guests have use of the laundry complex (shared with other residents). French doors lead from the seating area (with TV and DVD) to the private patio and communal gardens beyond. A children's play area and games room are also available. Pets are welcome in this cottage and there is a designated parking space for one car with further parking nearby if required. For larger parties and group accommodation all three Mill Cottages can be combined.

1 Mill Cottages Holiday Accommodation

The rural self catering cottage is approached from the communal gardens of the complex surrounded by fields with lovely rural views. The front door of the Kent holiday cottage leads into the sitting room with good quality modern furnishings. This pretty room has french doors to the patio garden with seating for 4 and a barbeque. The kitchen area is well equipped with dishwasher, electric oven, electric hob, extractor fan and fridge. There is a high chair available if required.

There are two double bedrooms, both with ensuite shower rooms with shower, wash hand basin and WC. There is also a cot available if required.

Outside the holiday cottage in Kent there is allocated parking for one car and further parking is available for guests use. In addition to the patio garden there are communal gardens for all to use, a children's play area and a well equipped games room.

Washing and drying facilities are available for all in the communal laundry room.

Local Information about Hastingleigh, Kent

There are numerous walks and bridle paths throughout the area. Riding stables are nearby; trout fishing and a nine hole golf course are within a few minutes drive.

The complex is in a truly beautiful and rural valley. There are many pubs and restaurants offering local produce and real ale within a 15 mile radius. Hastingleigh village has a traditional pub with a pool table and darts and bar snacks and is about 15 minutes walk. Bodsham, about 5 minutes drive, has a renowned gastropub.

The City of Canterbury and its historic cathedral are within easy reach (11 miles). Ashford (6 miles) has an excellent outlet shopping centre on its ring road. The Channel Tunnel is 10 miles away making day trips to France easy as the crossing takes approximately 35 minutes. There are numerous castles and places of interest to visit all along this historic coast, notably Dover Castle with its dungeons, intact battlements and underground World War 11 caves. Are many sandy beaches with easy access along the Kent coast and you may often find fisherman selling their fresh catch direct from their boats.

There are several championship golf courses within easy reach including Royal St Georges at Sandwich and Cinque Ports at Deal, closer at hand there is both an 18 hole course at the nearby village of Lyminge and a nine hole closer still in the village of Stowting.

During the Olympic Games (27th July to 12th August) Southeastern will be operating a Javelin shuttle service using high speed trains from St Pancras International and Ebbsfleet International Stations to the Olympic Park in Stratford. Five trains per hour will run between these stations, with a further two departures from Ashford International each hour and one departure an hour from Faversham. Ebbsfleet International Station is one of the official 'Park and Rail' Services and just 10 minutes by high-speed rail link into the centre of the Olympic Park

Enjoyed a lovely peaceful holiday. Plenty of walks across country and quiet roads. Caught the train from Wye into London. Friendly people, lovely villages and local shops and we enjoyed the farmers market in Wye. Thank you.

We had a wonderful two weeks here in Hastingleigh. The area was beautiful and the nearby towns were great to visit. There was always lots to be seen, but we still enjoyed sitting outside our cottage to read or playing pool. Thank you for your hospitality!
