Holiday Cottage in Hastingleigh, Kent Sleeps 2
Country cottage with a view over the beautiful surroundings, ideal for birdwatching holidays and North Downs walking. The country cottage is entered from the communal gardens and consists of one open plan room with double futon (low to the ground), TV and DVD.
The kitchen area is fitted in a modern style and the cottage has the use of the washing and drying facilities in the communal laundry room. The room leads to the shower room with shower, WC and wash hand basin.
Outside, there is seating on the patio which gives these cottages with a view a comfortable place to unwind. All cottages have the use of the games room and the children's play area. There is one allocated parking space for the cottage together with further guest parking available if required.
This compact but charming cottage offers comfortable accommodation all on one level and is furnished in an attractive modern style. It has lovely views of the surrounding countryside.
The cottage has been given a three star rating and consists of one room with a double futon (low to the ground), TV and DVD and a kitchen/dining area. (Please note there is only a microwave combined oven with grill at this property and no hob.) There is a fridge and extractor.
Outside there is a designated seating area with shared use of the communal gardens, play area, games room and laundry. Parking by the cottage is for one car with further guest parking available within the complex. Unfortunately the cottage is not suitable for pets.

There are numerous walks and bridle paths throughout the area. Riding stables are nearby; trout fishing and a nine hole golf course are within a few minutes drive.
The complex is in a truly beautiful and rural valley. There are many pubs and restaurants offering local produce and real ale within a 15 mile radius. Hastingleigh village has a traditional pub with a pool table and darts and bar snacks and is about 15 minutes walk. Bodsham, about 5 minutes drive, has a renowned gastropub.
The City of Canterbury and its historic cathedral are within easy reach (11 miles). Ashford (6 miles) has an excellent outlet shopping centre on its ring road. The Channel Tunnel is 10 miles away making day trips to France easy as the crossing takes approximately 35 minutes. There are numerous castles and places of interest to visit all along this historic coast, notably Dover Castle with its dungeons, intact battlements and underground World War 11 caves. Are many sandy beaches with easy access along the Kent coast and you may often find fisherman selling their fresh catch direct from their boats.
There are several championship golf courses within easy reach including Royal St Georges at Sandwich and Cinque Ports at Deal, closer at hand there is both an 18 hole course at the nearby village of Lyminge and a nine hole closer still in the village of Stowting.
During the Olympic Games (27th July to 12th August) Southeastern will be operating a Javelin shuttle service using high speed trains from St Pancras International and Ebbsfleet International Stations to the Olympic Park in Stratford. Five trains per hour will run between these stations, with a further two departures from Ashford International each hour and one departure an hour from Faversham. Ebbsfleet International Station is one of the official 'Park and Rail' Services and just 10 minutes by high-speed rail link into the centre of the Olympic Park
