The front door of this Canterbury cottage opens directly into the living room. With working open Victorian fireplace and exposed pine flooring this is a cosy room. There is a large comfy aqua patterned sofa and armchair; these are grouped around a coffee table creating a relaxing atmosphere. With TV, DVD, Sky TV and internet connection this property has everything needed for keeping up to date whilst away. Some of the internal doors in the house are original stripped pine, adding to the character of the house.
A door from the living room of this Canterbury holiday home leads directly into the kitchen/dining room which has a lovely terracotta floor and two original pine cupboards and pine mantel over the cooker. There is a pine kitchen table which seats four comfortably in the centre of the room. The room is decorated with a blue colour scheme and marble-effect work surfaces. Machines include gas hob, electric oven, microwave, washing machine and fridge-freezer, and the kitchen is well-equipped with china, glass and utensils for your self-catering holiday. The property benefits from full gas central heating and on-demand hot water.
Stairs lead from the kitchen to the first floor - these are open at one side and would not be suitable for very young children. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a modern shower room. The main bedroom has a brass framed double bed with cream linen and an aqua throw. The flooring is exposed pine with cream rugs. There are bedside tables with lamps, large chest of drawers and two wardrobes. A hairdryer is provided for your use.
The second bedroom has a double bed and overlooks the back garden. There is also a tall cupboard and a lamp on the windowsill. This is a small room but is perfectly adequate for a couple or child to sleep in.
The bathroom has a walk-in power shower, WC and basin and has modern black and while tiles.
Outside to the rear of the Canterbury self catering accommodation is a small well-maintained garden with tables and chairs, bench and charcoal barbeque (NB barbeque not available during the autumn and winter months.)
Parking for the property is directly on the street outside the property. There are restrictions between 8am and 4pm of 4 hours. Overnight there are not restrictions.
