The spacious entrance hall as you enter the Lodge has a large modern chest of drawers and leather occasional chair. Here, there are plenty of tourist information leaflets which have been provided by the owner. The Lodge has wooden flooring throughout which creates a light and spacious ambience. Leading from the entrance hall is the open plan living area. The kitchen is at one end with a large dining area to seat six comfortably. The kitchen is modern with wooden units and black work surfaces. It is fully fitted with all machines including gas hob, electric oven, extractor fan, freestanding fridge-freezer, dishwasher and microwave. There is plenty of china, glass and cooking utensils for guests' use. There is a separate utility room off the kitchen with a washing machine and another sink.
The dining area has a modern glass topped dining table and six chairs in a light wood finish. With the white china this is a very attractive area to entertain in - perfect for a special occasion.
The living area has two comfy leather sofas and a separate sofa bed. This is a very spacious room and with the brown leather sofas and attractive burgundy cushions it is the perfect place to sit and relax. There is a large TV with DVD, Video and Freeview, and the owner has left a selection of DVDs for your use during your stay. Large patio doors open directly onto the terrace and here you can sit and watch whoever is on the court playing tennis. There is also a gym located in an outbuilding in the grounds for your use during your stay (NB usage shared with the owner), and has many machines all waiting to keep you fit!
Beyond the living room are the two bedrooms. The first is a double room decorated with lilac linen and pretty lilac cushions. There is a large wardrobe and two bedside tables with lamps. The second bedroom has twin beds which are bright and modern. Crisp linen in pinks and blues complement the colour scheme. With a separate wardrobe and bedside table with drawers in, there is plenty of storage space. There are two bathrooms; the family bathroom has a bath, WC, basin and heated towel rail. The second bathroom has a very spacious walk-in power shower, WC and basin.
The tennis court is directly outside the Lodge - this is not only perfect for tennis but there are also two goals so that football can be played as well. For active adults and children alike this property will be very popular. The Lodge has private gardens with patio table and chairs; there is also a charcoal barbeque. There is a large separate parking area with children's climbing frame, again for holidaymakers' use. There is plenty of parking available for several cars.

Another fab week staying at the Ladybird. See you in the new year.
November 2012
Everything we need and more, part from the RAIN. We did manage a couple of knock ups on the tennis court - oh to be 20 years younger! We also enjoyed coffee at Rodmersham. Unfortunately we didn't see Kent countryside at its best due to the weather but did visit some interesting historic castles/houses. Very enjoyable week at your very comfortable lodge. Thank you.
September 2012
Little gem of a find! Wish we could have stayed longer! Very comfortable and spacious for 5 large bodies and very hospitable "hosts". Gym and tennis court proves the icing on the cake for our sporty son. We appreciate the thought put into mating Ladybird lodge a home from home. Love the tranquility of the garden.
August 2012
Had a great time. Lovely place. Would have been helpful to have wi-fi. Would definitely come back.

Thank you very much for a warm welcome to this beautiful cottage. We could not have asked for better accommodation. The tennis court and gym were a big hit. We traveled over for a family wedding and have been the envy of many relatives because of our good fortune to be staying in such a beautiful place. If only the weather had been better. It would have been wonderful to relax, in sunshine, in the garden.
July 2012

I would say that this is one of the best self catering accommodations that we have stayed at.
Every thing we needed was provided. The place was also spotless. Excellent.
November 2011
It is a property of very high quality and we enjoyed staying there. We stayed there for ten days and loved the calm surrounding and the birds singing from sunrise to sunset. It is just great.

My wife, daughter and I spent 7 nights in this cottage, it is the perfect place to get away from the big cities and busy streets yet close enough to supermarkets and main line railway as to provide easy access to both London and the coast. The cottage was immaculate and the owners friendly and easy to talk to. It was spacious and clean and easily fit a family of 4. I will be returning to the cottage every time I visit England.
