This sweet self catering Kent holiday cottage is situated in the Kent town of Hythe, beautifully furnished throughout creating a luxurious English holiday cottage. This self catering holiday cottage in Kent is full of traditional features including oak flooring and original pine doors and is perfect for exploring Hythe and the rest of Kent throughout the year.

This luxury holiday cottage in Hythe, Kent, has been recently refurbished and is furnished with a lovely selection of new and original antique pieces which add to the charm of this Kent holiday cottage. A special feature of the holiday cottage in Kent is the large open plan sitting and dining rooms, a large comfy sofa and armchair provide the perfect places to relax and enjoy the ambience of Hythe in Kent. The three bedrooms in this Kent holiday cottage are beautifully decorated providing calm and peaceful rooms, and along with crisp linen and gorgeous curtains will ensure your stay at this holiday cottage in Hythe is truly memorable.

Rose Cottage Holiday Accommodation

The cottage is approached by a traditional brick path with pretty cottage gardens on either side. The front door leads directly into the open plan living/dining room with exposed oak floorboards. A large comfy sofa and armchair are grouped around a low coffee table creating a welcoming atmosphere. There is an open fireplace which is not in use but candles can be lit to achieve a relaxing atmosphere. There is a TV and DVD at one end of the room and at the other is an attractive oak dining room table which will seat 6 comfortably. Pretty pictures and prints adorn the walls and the windows overlook the front cottage gardens.

The kitchen is modern with views into the courtyard at the back of the cottage. The units are ivory painted wood and there is a small breakfast table which will seat four. There is a freestanding pine dresser and plate rack which are in keeping with the cottage atmosphere. Machines include gas hob, electric oven, fridge, freezer, washer dryer, dishwasher and microwave. The kitchen is well equipped with china and glass and all cooking utensils for your self catering holiday. There is a separate WC downstairs next to the kitchen.

Stairs lead from the open plan living/dining room upstairs where there are three bedrooms and a family bathroom. The master bedroom is a double with a king size bed. There are two bedside tables with pretty glass lamps, an oak chest of drawers and a single antique chair. The room is decorated in pale blue and the linen is crisp white, the window overlooks the front garden and there are pretty curtains and blinds.

The second bedroom has a single bed which converts into a proper double bed if required. There are drawers for storage under the bed and also a cream painted bookshelf.

The third bedroom is a single, with a spacious wardrobe for storage; this room overlooks the pretty courtyard garden to the rear of the cottage.

The family bathroom is modern and stylish with blue tiles; there is a bath, WC and basin as well as a heated towel rail.

Outside the cottage to the front is an enclosed cottage garden, with a small area of lawn and little bench. To the rear of the cottage and accessed by French doors from the kitchen is a picturesque courtyard, where there is a patio table and chairs together with a charcoal barbeque. Parking is on the quiet lane outside the cottage.

Local Information about Saltwood, Kent

This coastal holiday cottage is in Saltwood, Kent, a mile and a half from the sea. Saltwood is famous for its private medieval castle, home to the well known Clarke family and where the four knights who murdered Thomas Becket in Canterbury Cathedral in 1170 stayed. Take a day out from this Kent holiday cottage and visit the many footpaths through the grounds of the castle.

The Kent village in which this luxury holiday cottage is situated originated in 8th century, providing wood for the preparation of salt on the nearby seashore - hence its name! Pretty Kent cottages surround the village green with church, pub and shop making it a truly English setting in Kent. The Kent village of Saltwood in Hythe offers a unique rural environment with a vibrant community with its mainline station at Sandling within a mile of the village centre; and thus only a short distance from this self catering Kent holiday cottage.

Not far from this English holiday cottage in Kent, lies the town of Hythe which offers a good range of shops, restaurants, lovely walks along the seafront and canal, a golf course, swimming pool and tennis courts for you to make the most of during your stay in Saltwood, Kent. Fresh fish can be bought direct from fisherman on the beach, ideal for those who do not wish to cook in this self catering holiday cottage in Kent. Near to this Kent holiday cottage is the Kent village of Sandgate with its restaurants, antique shops and pubs.
