This self catering Kent beach house is situated in a small Kent village nestled between Hythe and Folkestone on the Kent coast. The Kent village itself has a good range of antique shops and the Kent holiday beach house is within a two minute walk of a cosmopolitan mix of restaurants and bars and the renowned Sandgate Hotel, all taking full advantage of the seafront location in Folkestone. If you want to travel a little further afield why not visit 'The Marquis' restaurant, formally the Marquis of Granby, stands in the picturesque village of Alkham at the Southern end of the Kent Downs. The surrounding Alkham Valley, with its rolling hills and narrow country lanes, is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Marquis restaurant is a revelation. Head Chef Charles Lakin's seasonally inspired and locally sourced menus are as fresh as they are imaginative, and the elegant 21st century styling is exceptional.
There are wonderful Kent walks in and around the area of this Kent beach house. In particular along the water front all the way to Hythe - about a mile and a half. Both Kent towns have a good range of shopping, tennis courts, a golf course and lots of places to enjoy during your stay in this holiday cottage in Kent; and of course the view!
There is a Spa in nearby Hythe, also access to a steam railway between Hythe and Dymchurch - ideal for a relaxing day out as it potters along a coastal track with several sandy beach stops on the way.
For golfers, try your skills on a links course, Royal St George's, Littlestone and Royal Cinque Ports are all within an easy reach with a nine hole golf course in Hythe.
Inland, to the west of this self catering holiday apartment in Kent are the open spaces of Romney Marsh with its extensive wildlife, variety of birds and walks, and to the west is the historic Castle strongholds perched on the famous white cliffs including the renowned castle at Dover, in Kent.
Tickets for the Calais to Folkestone Eurotunnel shuttle service have already been released and are on sale for the summer of 2012 for the Olympics. Eurotunnel has plenty of capacity and is able to offer up to four departures an hour.
This was one of the best furnished, best kept holiday homes we have stayed in. The owner looks after the place well, and it has wonderful decor.

Great house, superbly appointed and contained , everything you might need.
Appreciated very much the management (Mr Wagner) - very helpful, great advice.
If not for this "hand on" approach, the house would benefit from quick list of nearest facilities e.g nearest supermarket, restaurants etc.
P.s very sorry for the broken glass, which broke in the dishwasher.

Beach house has everything that could possibly be needed for a relaxed holiday.

I Just wanted to let you know we accidentally broke a few things. The small coffee plunger which we did replace with another one, also the dust pan fell off the door hook and broke which we also replaced with a new dust pan and brush, the handle of a large white tea cup broke, we did not replace this.
Thank you for all the extra goodies you left, they were very welcoming. The house was tastefully decorated, and beautifully furnished. We did enjoy staying there very much. Thanks, May Palmer.

I've stayed in many holiday lets over the last 20 years, this certainly rates as one of the best properties. Stylish accommodation, no expense spared and thoughtful extras. Excellent beds and bedding- I can't say how many holidays have been spoiled by cheap, uncomfortable beds and not enough pillows. All kitchen cleaning equipment provided, so if you are only here for a few days you don't have to buy washing powder, washing up liquid etc. Thanks for the coffee, tea, milk and wine! Just clearer instructions on recycling and another black box please. Well done to the owner(s) we enjoyed staying here. P.S Loved the garden
Norma,Peter,Andrew and Vera - May 2011
The cottage was superb. Holiday wonderful. What more can you ask for. My family and I, who are currently 'starring' in The Kentish Express (The Hopkins Family.. centre spread), thought it was my best choice yet and we have been holidaying in the Folkestone area for over 60 years!
Mrs S Welsh
The house was immaculate, and had everything we could have asked for to make our stay a comfortable and happy one. The beautiful sea view was a joy.

A very stylish house - inside and out - with many places to sit and eat outside in comfort. Contemporary but cosy decor - the kitchen is a great family space. Beautifully presented and very well equipped. Highly recommend it.

Spent a very relaxing weekend in this delightful cottage. Decorated with impeccable taste, and accessorised to the last detail. The sound of the sea at night, and the views towards the distant lights of France make this a magic place.

December 2010. Really outstanding accommodation! Truly a home from hom; just what's needed for a Christmas away. Far too many nice touches to mention, suffice it to day this is the best of all the holiday lets we've had (and there have been a few over the years!). Many thanks for all your consideration in making us feel so welcome. Littlebourne Beach House is definitely on our list of places to come back to.

Going home with two hearts. One heavy at the thought of leaving this idyllic house. The other lighter and relaxed having had our best British holiday ever. Our daughter and friend thought this the 'coolest' place to stay. We shared their enthusiasm. Thank you for the generous hospitality you have shown us.
