Located down a private road above the lovely Bay of St Margaret's, Primrose Cottage is a superb self catering holiday cottage. This cottage has so much to offer the self catering holidaymaker looking for a property with just that little bit more. With pretty much every room boasting a stunning sea views of the bay, thw white cliffs of Dover and on a clear day even France - this self catering cottage is guaranteed to impress.

Not only does this cottage have stunning sea views it is also in a perfect location to explore all that the local area has to offer with Deal and Canterbury a short journey away.

A really special feature of this cottage is the stunning outside space that guests can enjoy. There is a large garden, which has a lawn area and is surrounded by an abundance of well established borders and pretty plants. There is also a large patio area with chairs and tables with spectacular sea views and a smaller private patio area off the main bedroom which would be the perfect place to sit and enjoy a cup of morning coffee.

This cottage has been rated 4 star Gold Award by Visit England.

Primrose Cottage Holiday Accommodation

The cottages' private gates open to a drive, where there is of plenty of parking. You enter the cottage into a light and airy porch, where there is lots of storage room for shoes, coats etc.

From the porch there is a spacious the hallway which leads into the large kitchen/dining room which has the most spectacular views out to sea. The kitchen is very well equipped with gas oven, hob, extractor fan, microwave, large fridge freezer and dishwasher with a stylish breakfast bar and 4 stools, there are also glass doors that lead out onto the large terrace, where there is a table with seating for 6 + people and a parasol. The dining area has a beautiful dark wooden table and 6 chairs, a perfect space for entertaining.

The living room is extremely large, with lots of front facing windows which boast lovely sea views. The room consists of a piano, which the owner is happy for guests to use, a bookcase with plenty of board games which guests are more than welcome to play with. There is a large leather sofa with 2 matching armchairs and a further 2 wooden chairs and coffee table which are placed under the windows, the perfect place to sit and enjoy the stunning sea views. There is also a flat screen TV with DVD for you to enjoy during your stay.

Also on this floor there is a twin bedroom, with a further single bed, this room has plenty of storage with a dresser and a wardrobe and again has sea views. There is also a large family bathroom, with toilet, basin, bath with shower overhead and heated towel rail.

Upstairs is equally as spacious as downstairs, with two double bedrooms. A pretty double bedroom with floor to ceiling windows, with stunning views over the garden and sea, this room has plenty of storage again. There is a large family bathroom, with toilet, basin, bath with shower overhead and heated towel rail, this room again has magnificent sea views.

The spacious master bedroom provides a wonderful retreat with a king-sized double bed with a lovely large ensuite, including a toilet, basin, bath with shower overhead and heated towel rail, this room is a very special as you even have sea views whilst in the shower! There is also a private balcony with a table and two chairs the perfect place to sit and enjoy a cup of morning coffee.

Local Information about St Margaret's Bay, Kent

This area of Kent which includes St Margaret's at Cliffe and St Margaret's Bay has been aptly named First Light Coast and Country. As the sun rises you can bask in the first light of the day in the midst of the White Cliffs. Surrounded by spectacular countryside throughout the year this area offers such a range of activities for the holidaymaker. You can walk for miles along the deserted coastline and get inspiring views of the Heritage Coast, the Channel and also the coast of Northern France. Further inland there are the Kent Downs which are valued for their chalk grassland and wildlife.

For sporting activities there is much to offer, horse riding, cycling, swimming, water sports and golf are all available locally. In summer the beach and rock pools are perfect for children, with safe swimming in the bay. St Margaret's Bay has been for a long time a good location for surfers, kayakers and canoeists.

If you enjoy fishing then St Margaret's Bay is a good location for catching sea bass, mackerel, dogfish and sole. With your binoculars you may also see seals, guillemots, little egrets and maybe occasional dolphin and basking shark!

The village of St Margaret's has many local amenities including a village shop, Tea rooms and three lovely pubs which all offer great food and fine ales. The Coastguard Pub on the beach is a short walk away and is an award winning pub with food made from fresh local ingredients.

The Pines Garden Museum in St Margaret's is well worth a visit and includes six acres of organically managed gardens. The 12th Century local church is also interesting with rounded arches and doorways. Further afield there is the historic Dover Castle and Walmer Castle both good locations for days out.

If France beckons then why not take a ferry from Dover or the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone for a day trip, it's so close, so don't forget to bring your passports!

Inland a short drive away is the historic City of Canterbury with its cobbled streets and magnificent Cathedral, many hours can be spent exploring and enjoying everything that this Medieval City has to offer.
