In fact the site for Wheelwrights Cottage itself was the Wheelwrights in the iconic 1943 Powell and Pressburger film 'A Canterbury Tale'.

The cottage is set back from a country lane and is situated next to the owner's house. There is parking for several cars at the front and a landscaped courtyard area with table and chairs to take in the sunny aspect.
The property has very nice quality solid oak flooring throughout and benefits from under floor heating. As you enter the cottage there is a cloakroom with plenty of space for coats and boots. There is a lovely modern shower room with a huge square shower head, basin and WC and attractive Travertine tiling.
The open plan sitting room and kitchen has a high beamed ceiling and lovely windows overlooking the views to the rear and large oak doors opening to the front terrace. There are two raspberry coloured sofas and an easy chair, a large coffee table, book shelves and a small wall mounted flat screen TV with freeview. The kitchen area is very well equipped. There are lovely cream hi-gloss units and solid beach worktops and matching bar stools; there is a dishwasher, single electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave and fridge. A washing machine and freezer can be found in the garage. A useful radio CD player is also provided.
There are two bedrooms, one being a twin room with nice quality single beds, bedside tables with pretty lamps, a small dressing table and fitted wardrobe, this room is very pleasantly decorated in contrasting cream and plum and has a pretty view of the rear garden. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, bedside tables with attractive matching lamps; there is a small dressing table with mirror over and a fitted wardrobe. This room is decorated in restful hues of grey and cream and overlooks the front terrace and pergola with direct access to the terrace, a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee. The ensuite bathroom is lovely and spacious with a stylish modern white bath with shower over, basin, WC and attractive Travertine tiles. There is a small spot outside the master bedroom which can be used as a study area where there are book shelves with maps and details of the local vicinity.
The front courtyard garden of this self catering holiday cottage in Kent has a table and six chairs with a parasol, it is an attractive area filled with scent from lavender plants and flower filled pots, there is even a barbeque for those summer evenings! A particular feature is the large rear paddock style garden which offers plenty of space for children to run and play, and of course those pretty orchard views.
One child is more than welcome at the cottage and the owners have provided a cot and highchair at the property.
