The pretty bay fronted Victorian house is accessed through a shiny black door which leads directly into the lounge area. Comfortable sofas and chairs in shades of plum and beige surround the wood burning stove giving the room a cosy feel. The bay window and window seat offer a relaxing place to sit and watch the world go. Stylish wall lights and pretty artwork complete the scene giving the cottage a welcoming feel. There is a TV, DVD and Freeview as well as wireless broadband for use during your stay in Canterbury.
Leading from the living area is the dining room complete with feature fireplace and bright floral curtains this room is the perfect place for entertaining with pine table and chairs which comfortably seats 6 people, and sideboard filled with plentiful glasses for use during your stay, a stylish table lamp finishes off the room perfectly.
The modern fitted kitchen with white gloss units and wooden sideboard is fully equipped with every conceivable appliance including gas oven, hob and extractor fan, dishwasher as well as a fridge with ice compartment. There are plenty of cooking utensils, china and glass provided for your use. A utility room next to the kitchen houses the washing machine , tumble dryer and microwave oven.

The beautiful medieval city of Canterbury has much to offer with history at every turn! Originally settled in Saxon times it was later taken over by the Romans, whose presence remains with the largely intact City walls and various Roman ruins scattered throughout the city.
Canterbury was also home to Geoffrey Chaucer's famous Canterbury Tales which are well depicted in a museum entirely dedicated to them in the city centre.
The apartment itself is on the 'Kings Mile', which is Canterbury's most diverse and culturally unique shopping district, situated in the shadow of the Cathedral. The skyline of the City is dominated by the Norman Cathedral (which can be seen from the apartment) which, together with St Augustine's Abbey has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Cathedral, the Crypt and the peaceful Cloisters are worth a whole day's visit in themselves.
The pedestrianised cobbled High Street and narrow lanes leading off it house an eclectic and interesting mix of boutiques as well as all the main high street shops. An excellent new development at the south end of the High Street ensures that Canterbury is a city where you can shop till you drop! An open air market is held in the High Street on Wednesdays and Saturdays where many bargains can be found. The city boasts a myriad of bars and restaurants offering menus from all four corners of the world to suit all budgets
Canterbury is the home of Kent County Cricket Club and the award winning ground a mile from the City centre. It is the only County ground in the country with a tree within the boundary (a lime) and the Cricket Festival in early August is a must for all cricket lovers.
For golfers, Canterbury has its own 18 hole course 2 miles from the City centre of if you want to try your skills on a links course, Royal St George's and Royal Cinque Ports, at Sandwich and Deal respectively, are about 15 miles away.
