The neighbouring barn is still used to press grapes that are grown on the surrounding vineyards. This lovely peaceful Kent setting in glorious countryside on the North Downs and yet within just a few miles of motorway connections and the Channel Tunnel for visits to France.

Nightingale cottage is approached via a sweeping driveway, leading up to a large gravel parking area for several cars. The front door leads into the light and airy open plan living area which is beautifully complimented by limestone flooring, beamed ceilings and silk drapes hanging from the large windows that surround the room. The dining space to the right of the room has a large table that comfortably seats 8 people, the perfect place to dine after a day sightseeing in the local area. The owner has provided plenty of crockery, cutlery and glasses for use during your stay.
The living area is furnished with comfortable sofas (one is a double sofa bed) and coffee table with stunning views from french doors which lead from this sunny room onto the patio area complete with table, chairs and parasol.
The kitchen area is beautifully finished in cream coloured units with granite work surfaces and is equipped with halogen hob, microwave and fridge with freezer compartment. A separate communal utility area is equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board for use during your stay.
The master bedroom has an exquisite king size bed dressed with crisp white cotton bed linen. Bedside tables and pretty lamps give the room a romantic feel. A large freestanding wardrobe offers plenty of storage during your stay. The views from the master bedroom are amazing over looking farm land, the perfect place to enjoy a cup of tea whilst admiring the fabulous landscape that surrounds the cottage.
Bedroom two is a pretty single beamed room with pretty oak framed bed and crisp cotton bed linen. A chest of drawers has been provided for use during your stay.
The luxury bathroom has been beautifully finished and includes a bath, shower, WC and wash hand basin. Stainless steel towel rails, pretty light up mirror and fluffy white towels give the room a luxurious feel.
This self catering holiday home is situated on the outskirts of the pretty rural Kent village of Petham which is within three miles of the Medieval City of Canterbury. With wonderful historic buildings to visit during your stay in Kent, Canterbury offers so much for the tourist with theatres, a new shopping centre and of course the Cathedral to mention just a few.
