This stylish self catering Kentish barn is a truly magical property for those wanting an extra special location for their holiday home. Traditional finishes as well as very high attention to detail has created a real home from home which would delight even the most discerning holidaymakers. Recently renovated to the highest standards, this barn is warm and welcoming with subtle lighting and under floor heating, winter evenings become really cosy. With an amazing state of the art fully fitted kitchen and dining area this really is the perfect place for entertaining family and friends. With two large double bedrooms and a further double sofa bed there is plenty of space for all the guests. A special feature of this Kent barn is the garden which overlooks the stunning rolling countryside and vineyard, the perfect place for al fresco dining or morning coffee and croissants. Here you can relax and take in the amazing views that are on offer.

The luxury accommodation is set all on one floor. High quality fittings, double glazed oak windows and beams and lime stone flooring give this barn a truly luxurious feel. The pretty front door of the barn leads to the light and spacious living area. Large comfortable sofas one of which is a sofa bed sleeping 2 surround the large windows that overlook the rolling hills of the stunning countryside. The perfect place to curl up on whatever the weather. Pretty wall lights, lamps and attractive artwork on the walls finish the room off perfectly. There is a large flat screen TV and DVD player. Five steps take you to the open plan kitchen/dining area with state of the art grey coloured kitchen units, black granite work surfaces and large butler sink. The kitchen includes every conceivable appliance with range style oven, extractor hood, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. A communal utility area is also available with washing machine, iron and ironing board. The dining table within the kitchen has a large dining table which comfortably seats 10 people, the perfect place to cook up a family feast and entertain at the same time. French doors lead onto the private terrace area with small table, chairs and a parasol, the ideal place to spend time with a glass of chilled wine.
The master bedroom leads from the kitchen and has a beautiful cherry kingsize bed, dressed with crisp cotton bed linen. A double wardrobe and chest of drawers provides plenty of storage during your stay. The fabulous apex ceiling gives the room a spacious feel and the large windows invite the natural sunlight to come flooding into the room. Bedside tables, stylish lamps and wall lights as well as pretty floral curtains give the room a romantic feel. The ensuite shower room has a shower, wash hand basin and WC. The owner has provided fluffy white towels for use during your stay.
Bedroom 2 is another double and is tastefully furnished with crisp white cotton bed linen, chest of drawers and wardrobe, bedside tables with wall lights gives the room a luxurious feel. The bedroom overlooks the amazing farmland which surrounds the barn, the perfect place to watch the sun come up with a cup of tea and a croissant.
The bathroom is well fitted with modern white bath with shower and large wash hand basin with a mirrored cupboard over and WC.
Outside is sunny terrace complete with table, chairs and parasol. There is a small area of lawn beyond. To the back of the barn is a large gravelled area providing secure parking for three cars.
Bacchus Barn is situated on a rural country lane surrounded by open farmland in the small village of Petham in the North Downs, five miles south of Canterbury in Kent. The coastal towns of Whitstable, Sandwich and Herne Bay are also nearby.
Canterbury is a medieval city which is surrounded by the original city walls. Here you can visit the famous Cathedral and St Augustine's Abbey, both of which have been designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites. A whole day can be spent just exploring the Cathedral, Crypt and Cloisters. Canterbury also offers many other tourist attractions including, Historic River Tours, the Canterbury Tales attraction, and extensive shopping especially in the new Whitefriars centre.
With the proximity of the Channel Tunnel and the port of Dover, day trips to France are so easy - you can also take the Eurostar to Paris which only takes 2 hours.
For golfers there is an 18 hole course on the outskirts of Canterbury, also the links course at Royal St George's in Sandwich and the Royal Cinque Ports in Deal. For fishermen, Marshside Fishing Lakes where a day ticket cost £6 is just a mile away.
Further afield from this holiday house there are wonderful Kent gardens to explore including Goodnestone, Sissinghurst and Great Dixter. If it is castles that interest you, both Leeds and Dover castles are within an easy drive of this self catering holiday house. Leeds Castle, one of the most beautiful castles in England, also has a fabulous golf course and the new "Go Ape" attraction which is an award winning high wire forest adventure course up to 40 feet into the trees; ideal for the adventurous types staying at this luxury English property in Kent.
