These beautifully renovated Kent holiday cottages would be ideal for larger parties with wonderfully spacious group accommodation, just refurbished and set in a stunning rural position with nearby walking trails, horse riding, cross country biking and yet within an hour of London - what more could you ask for?! Enjoy cross country bike riding for those of a sporty inclination or take a picnic to the surrounding vineyard the bench and oak swing in the woodland, or badger watch in one of the surrounding butterfly glades.

Broadway Green Cottages (sleeps 11)
Combination of two barns situated side by side, with 3 bedrooms, 2 reception rooms (the largest Bacchus Barn can accommodate the entire group for dining and sitting) 3 bath / shower-rooms (1 en-suite) terrace with table and seating for all the group, bbq's, sun beds and parking for several cars beside the properties.
Bacchus Barn: Sleeps 4 + 2, in 2 bedrooms (1 ensuite),1 sofa bed in living room and 1 bathroom with shower. Outside French doors leads to a sunny terrace complete with table, chairs and parasol. To the back of the barn is a large gravelled area providing secure parking for three cars.
Entering the barn leads into the light and spacious living area with 3 sofas and 1 arm chair seating 6 with TV, DVD player.
3 steps lead up to the open plan kitchen diner with seating around the table for 10. The kitchen fitted and equipped with range cooker, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. A communal utility area is also available with washing machine, iron and ironing board.

Master bedroom - (sleeps 2) with kingsize double and ensuite shower room,
1 double bedroom (sleeps 2) overlooks the amazing farmland which surrounds the barn
1 double sofa bed in the living room

Nightingale cottage sleeps 3 + 2
2 Bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 open plan reception room and diner / kitchen, terrace seating for 6 with views, parasol, bbq and sunbeds.
Approached via a sweeping driveway, large gravel parking area for several cars.
Open plan living area, dining space to one side, large table seats 8 people, sofa seating, arm chair and sofa bed to seat 5 (sleeps 1) coffee table, TV table, flat screen TV, DVD.
Kitchen area, granite work surfaces, electric oven, halogen hob, microwave and fridge with separate freezer.
1 Family bathroom, bath, overhead shower, hand basin, wc
Separate communal utility area is equipped with washing machine, iron and ironing board for use during your stay.

1 x Master bedroom (sleeps 2) king size bed, bedside tables and lamps, freestanding wardrobe.
1 x Single room, (sleeps 2 - 1 adult and 1 child) single bed, plus a mattress for a child to the floor, small wardrobe.

These self catering holiday cottages is situated on the outskirts of the pretty rural Kent village of Petham, with a choice of cross country bike trails and wondrous walks for explorers and near to riding stables at Pettbottom. For those looking for a local tipple a 20 minute walk will take you to village pub or a 5 minute drive to popular gastro pub The Granville and for those looking for a treat why not try the French / English restaurant the Timerbats.It is even possible to walk into Historic Canterbury which is about three miles away from this holiday let in Kent.
Canterbury was settled as early as Saxon times who favoured it because of its strategic position in a valley with two rivers.It was later taken over by the Romans, whose presence remains with the largely intact City walls and various Roman ruins scattered throughout the city.Canterbury was also home to Geoffrey Chaucer's famous Canterbury Tales which are well depicted in a museum entirely dedicated to them in the city centre. In modern times the bustling, vibrant city is best know for superb shopping, West end style Theatre shows and an eclectic choice of pubs, cafes and restaurants.
Further afield from this holiday house there are wonderful Kent gardens to explore including Goodnestone, Sissinghurst and Great Dixter. If it is castles that interest you, both Leeds and Dover castles are within an easy drive of this self catering holiday house. Leeds Castle, one of the most beautiful castles in England, also has a fabulous golf course and the new "Go Ape" attraction which is an award winning high wire forest adventure course up to 40 feet into the trees; ideal for the adventurous types staying at this luxury English property in Kent.

We stayed here over Xmas and put our children and guests into one cottage and we stayed in the main one. We had a wonderful time, the hosts were lovely. The pictures do not do the cottages justice - they are all brand new, with up-to-date and comfortable furnishings, decor and excellent facilities.
