This Kent holiday cottage is situated at the coastal town of Broadstairs, just 250 yards from the award winning sandy beach of Viking Bay. Conveniently located just off the buzzing High Street with many pubs, restaurants and quirky seaside shops to interest you during your stay.
The cottage has a light and airy feel to it as you walk in the door, decorated in neutral colours with a nautical theme as well as modern pieces of furniture and interesting nik naks that the owner has collected make this holiday cottage a place where you would like to return over and over again. . The fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms as well as comfortable sofas, side tables and lamps and pretty rugs on the floors give the cottage a warm and welcoming feel whatever the weather or the time of year.
All in all, this self catering Kent holiday cottage is a real gem of a location in Kent, where time stands still and memories are made - you can't ask for more!

You approach the cottage through the front door of this pretty Victorian, double fronted holiday cottage straight into the spacious dining room. The round pine dining table that comfortably seats 8 people, wooden floorboards and whitewashed walls as well as the original sash windows that allow the natural sunlight to filter into the room giving the dining room a welcoming atmosphere, make this room the perfect place to entertain or enjoy a family meal after a day sightseeing. The living room to the right is decorated in neutral shades and is stylishly furnished with comfortable sofas, coffee table, side tables and lamps as well as a TV & DVD player for use during your stay. This room is also flooded with natural sunlight giving the room a warm and welcoming feel. The modern kitchen is located to the back of the dining room and is fully fitted with modern appliances including oven, hob, microwave oven, dishwasher and washer/dryer. A back door leads from the kitchen to the outside courtyard garden. An outside table and chairs has been provided for use during your stay, the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine.
Open tread stairs lead from the dining room to the first floor. The master bedroom has a double wrought iron bed dressed with crisp cotton bed linen and finished off with pretty blue throws adding to the nautical theme of the cottage. The ensuite wetroom has a shower and WC. Bedroom 2 is a twin room dressed with crisp white cotton bed linen and colourful throws. Bedroom 3 is also a twin with 2'6 single beds more suitable for young adults and children, both bedrooms have original fireplaces and exposed wooden floorboards, bedside lamps finish the rooms off beautifully.
The family bathroom has a bath with a power shower over, wash hand basin and WC. Please note that towels are not provided in this cottage.
The warm and cosy cottage has gas central heating.
There is on road parking outside the cottage and a payable public car park to the rear.
This picturesque cottage is located at Viking Bay, the award winning sandy beach in Broadstairs with clifftop promenade and a harbour pier, this is an ideal safe environment for children and adults alike with lifeguards, animal logo signs for children to know where parents are located and toilets. Younger children can enjoy donkey rides and punch and Judy in the summer months and for older children ski and belly boards are available for sale or hire. A great bay for those who like to get away from it all and have a traditional day at the beach.
Broadstairs town itself is very picturesque; full of quirky little lanes with tiny flint houses and fishermen's cottages nestled together. There are an abundance of unusual small shops, including boutiques and jewellery shops, pubs restaurants and tearooms and of course the traditional fish and chip shop, or why not get up early and visit the fisherman for some truly fresh fish, great to grill or cook on the BBQ.
North Foreland Golf Club just a short drive along the coast is directly opposite the Kingsgate Castle and is an unrivalled chalk course offering all-year golf coupled with stunning scenery and breathtaking views of the sea from every tee and green. It was founded in 1903 and steeped in history the course is situated on the Kent coast at the point where the English Channel meets the North Sea. Originally a 9 hole course, in 1912 Fowler and Simpson were employed to design the existing full 18 holes so enjoyed by so many to this day.
There are plenty of charming gardens, great for relaxing in with a delicious ice cream. The beautiful coastline boasts 15 sandy beaches and bays which have been awarded3 Blue Flags and7 Quality Coast Awards, one of which is Joss Bay which is a sandy bay approximately 200 meters long, popular for surfing with Joss Bay Surf School situated there for hire surf boards and wetsuit hire and lessons.
