The ancient ruins of St Augustine's Abbey and St Martin's Church all form part of UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nearby are the remains of a Norman Castle built on 1080 by the Normans and the large stone keep was largely constructed in the reign of Henry1 (1100-1135) all are reminders of the City's history, heritage & culture. Other attractions include, The King's mile, St Dunstan's, West Gate Towers, Northgate and The Canterbury Tales. You can take one of the River Tours and absorb the City with a boat trip along the River Stour taking in the architecture and scenic views.
