This delightful 4 star self catering holiday cottage in Kent is one of three new barns set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The neighbouring barn is still used to press grapes that are grown on the surrounding vineyards. This lovely peaceful Kent setting in glorious countryside on the North Downs and yet within just a few miles of motorway connections and the Channel Tunnel for visits to France.

This Kent holiday cottage has been stylishly furnished and offers luxurious holiday accommodation. Grey limestone flooring, plush rugs on the floor as well as comfortable cream sofas and large modern lamps give the cottage a give a really cosy feel. The kitchen area in this Kent holiday cottage has high gloss cream units and oak wooden work surfaces very much in keeping with the cottage style.

There is one double bedroom within the cottage, dressed in crisp cotton white bed linen adding to the feeling of luxury.

The Kent holiday cottage also has a sunny south facing patio garden at the front. A table, chairs and parasol has been provided for use during your stay, the perfect place to finish off a day sightseeing with a chilled glass of rose wine from the owner's vineyard. Green Gate Cottage is approached via a sweeping driveway, leading up to a large gravel parking area for several cars. The front door leads into the compact modern kitchen area, with cream high gloss units and oak wooden work surfaces. A fully fitted combination oven, grill and microwave as well as fridge and dishwasher have been provided. A separate communal utility area is equipped with washing machine, iron and ironing board for use during your stay.

Two steps lead into the lounge/dining area, a plump cream coloured sofa, modern table lamps as well as interesting pieces of artwork adorning the walls give the room a cosy feel. Limestone flooring covered in a thick woollen rug finish the room off perfectly. The dining area has a large glass table and wrought iron chairs, the perfect place for a romantic meal for two. French doors dressed in thick floral curtains open from the dining area onto the south facing terrace.

The master bedroom leads from the kitchen and has a beautiful oak king size bed dressed with crisp white cotton bed linen. Bedside tables and pretty lamps give the room a romantic feel. A large freestanding oak wardrobe offers plenty of storage during your stay.

The luxury bathroom has been beautifully finished and includes a bath, shower, WC and wash hand basin. Stainless steel towel rails, pretty light up mirror and fluffy white towels give the room a luxurious feel.

Local Information about Petham, Kent

This self catering holiday home is situated on the outskirts of the pretty rural Kent village of Petham which is within three miles of the Medieval City of Canterbury. With wonderful historic buildings to visit during your stay in Kent, Canterbury offers so much for the tourist with theatres, a new shopping centre and of course the Cathedral to mention just a few.

This self catering holiday house is surrounded by open Kent countryside with footpaths to explore the local area and visit the many charming pubs. It is even possible to walk into Canterbury which is about three miles away from this holiday let in Kent.

Further afield from this holiday house there are wonderful Kent gardens to explore including Goodnestone, Sissinghurst and Great Dixter. If it is castles that interest you, both Leeds and Dover castles are within an easy drive of this self catering holiday house. Leeds Castle, one of the most beautiful castles in England, also has a fabulous golf course and the new "Go Ape" attraction which is an award winning high wire forest adventure course up to 40 feet into the trees; ideal for the adventurous types staying at this luxury English property in Kent.
