Greycot is the perfect place if a beach holiday is what you are after. Miles of beach, a mix of shingle and sand make this the ideal place to enjoy an English seaside holiday and with direct access to the beach from the back garden you would find it hard to find a more ideal property to base your stay.
St Mary's Bay lies on the South East Coast of the Romney Marsh between the villages of Littlestone and Dymchurch. There is an abundance of places to go and things to explore. The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch railway offers fun for all the family, whatever your age. The world's smallest public railway travels along the coast from Hythe to Dungeness with a variety of events happening throughout the year. One of the most sought after is the famous day out with Thomas the Tank Engine where little ones can have an adventure with Thomas and Friends. For the more mature among us why not try your hand at learning to drive a steam train.
A fantastic day out with the kids and animal lovers alike can be found at Port Lympne, Wild Animal Experience. Feel like an explorer as you jump aboard the Safari Jeep from basecamp to one of the four on-foot zones. In these zones you'll discover conservation first hand with exhibits and interactive educational displays as well as three play areas and two restaurants. Set in 600 acres of beautiful Kent countryside and housing over 650 rare and endangered animals, Port Lympne is certainly not to be missed.
Not far from this English holiday cottage in Kent, lies the town of Hythe which offers a good range of shops, restaurants, lovely walks along the seafront and canal, a golf course, swimming pool and tennis courts for you to make the most of during your stay in St Mary's Bay, Kent. Fresh fish can be bought direct from fisherman on the beach, ideal for those who do not wish to cook in this self-catering holiday cottage in Kent. Near to this Kent holiday cottage is the Kent village of Sandgate with its restaurants, antique shops and pubs.We had had a lovely visit the house is perfect for any type of break. We hope the pending summers allows you to open your doors to many more deserving guests.

Our second time and enjoyable as the first. We did not intend on relaxing. The weather was arctic but we too had exhilarating walks. We visited Bodiam Castle, The Battle of Britain Museum and Canterbury, all of which we can recommend. The highlight of the week was a trip to London for the Ballet. We will always want to come to Greycot and St Marys Bay.

We had a lovely holiday in your clean little house - it has a homely gentle spirit to it and everyone was relaxed and happy.
Dungeness was especially memorable; refreshing morning "dip" (very quick dip) first thing in the morning!
Perhaps I will find out if you let during the winter, Christmas even, and I shall bring my parents next time. Thank you for the treats and for a lovely holiday.
Best Wishes,
Peter & Family.

September 2012
We feel very lucky to have spent the week in this gorgeous house in such a fabulous location - even the British weather was good to us, giving us a week of sunshine!
We recommend the little railway, rowing boats in the canal in Hythe., the maize maze, and of course the super beach at the bottom of the garden. Please beware the "pit of doom" outside the front door - throughout our week at Greycot it was full of small noisy monsters (if we'd known that the only plaything our kids needed was a hole in the garden, we could have saved a fortune on toys over thee years!) All in all, a wonderful holiday with lots of happy memories. The Rose Family.
August 2012
We've had a fantastic time at Greycot - its beautiful, well provisioned cottage in a stunning location (being able to walk straight out of the garden onto the breach is great).
Thanks for the heads up about the rabbits (Our 7 year old daughter had been rabbit spotting most mornings!) and for all the handy information about places to visit//eat in the folder. In short, its been a great holiday and we hope to be able to come back again!

I really enjoyed the week here. We had lovely swims in the sea. I recommend the amusement park in Dymchurch. There is also a lovely ice cream shop called "Twice as nice" there! At Haguelands farm there is a maize maze which is really fun. There are really cute wild brown rabbits in our garden at night and early in the morning. Thanks so much. Hope we can come again soon.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Greycot. It is a gorgeous little cottage, beautifully decorated, full of cosy character and equipped with every thing you could possibly need. Our three year old son was instantly happy and at home as soon as we arrived and enjoyed his little holiday as much as we did. We will certainly be returning soon.
