Dartmoor National Park is a wonderful holiday cottage destination. Dartmoor is huge expanse of moorland in the centre of Devon, and it contains an assortment of picturesque towns and villages from which you can choose your holiday cottage destination.
All our holiday cottages on Dartmoor have spectacular views across the surrounding countryside and a particularly tranquil atmosphere. The holiday cottages tend to be converted farm buildings and cottages, with spectacular period features and cosy open fires for those cold winter nights. Holiday Cottages on Dartmoor are the perfect base to explore the surrounding footpaths, bridle paths and cycle paths. There are countless activities to enjoy whilst on your cottage holiday on Dartmoor such as fishing, kayaking and golf. Okehampton is a flourishing historic town in the North of Dartmoor. From your holiday cottage in Okehampton you can explore the castle, take a steam train ride, visit the spectacular Lydford gorge and waterfall and explore the fantastic moorland. Only an hour away from your holiday cottage is the well known Eden Project.
Holiday Cottages in Tavistock are located along the River Tavy and in the town centre, Tavistock is a classic west country market town which has something for every holidaymaker.
Bovey Tracey is another popular holiday cottage destination in Dartmoor. The majority of the town and the holiday cottages are cob and Dartmoor-granite built. Holiday cottages can also be found in the historic mill town of Buckfastleigh. Ashburton, the largest town in Dartmoor, is an ideal holiday cottage destination for exploring Dartmoor
