Holiday Cottages in the Tunbridge Wells area

Cottages in Tunbridge Wells boast Georgian period elegance. Most Tunbridge Wells cottages are large, spacious oak beamed and beautifully decorated. This kent spa town, visited by many monarchs in their time, was granted Royal status in 1909. Wealth and elegance can be seen in many Tunbridge Wells cottages.

Some beautiful Tunbridge Wells cottages are to be found in Goudhurst, one of the most renowned and picturesque villages in the heart of the Weald of Kent, built on a hill with stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

Most historic cottages in Tunbridge Wells feature oak beams, many procured from the surrounding woods on all sides and the village of Goudhurst itself has a good range of shops, restaurants and country pubs. The National Pinetum is a couple of miles away at Bedgebury.

Some outstanding attractions, all within easy distance of many Tunbridge Wells cottages, include the National Trust properties of Sissinghurst Castle with its renowned gardens and Bodiam Castle. Slightly further away are Batemans (one time home of Rudyard Kipling) and Ightham Moat.

This is ten miles to the west of most cottages in Tunbridge Wells. There are good road and rail transport links within easy distance from Tunbridge Wells cottages.
