A little bit of an addiction – Antique Fairs!

Spring is a time for taking stock, for recycling all the unwanted items in the house and maybe re-inventing the interior of your home.  One of the most economical ways of doing this can be to visit antique fairs, one of the most well known in the South East being held at Ardingly in Sussex.  Don’t you just love browsing antique fairs, so much history all around!  Ardingly’s next fair is going to be held on Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd April, so come and visit and stay in one of our Sussex holiday cottages.

With six fairs in the year, it is a wonderful opportunity to find an unusual object, whether you’re looking for mirrors or furniture, rugs or glasses, you could find it here!

Ardingly Antiques Fair is quite simply a treasure trove for any antiques, collecting or interiors enthusiast. From decorative items, paintings and ceramics, to silver, jewellery and textiles, there`s something for everything.

Sure some of this could be useful!

Up to 1,700 stalls housing thousands of goods – from fine antique furniture to delicate ceramics – are available here. It has a reputation as one of the UK antique fairs where quality European decorative items can be found.

With a combination of inside and outdoor stands, this mid-week fair is the perfect opportunity to indulge in a little vintage shopping and give your home a Spring refresh in 2015.

If you have friends who enjoy rummaging as much as you, it is a lovely way to combine getting together with having fun, and staying in a holiday cottage in Sussex is a great way to have a break.  We have country cottages in Sussex or charming little coastal cottages where you can have wonderful beach walks, completely deserted at this time of year.  If you like the buzz of a city, Brighton is a great place to stay, with its wonderful laines full of antiquities and treasure.
