If you wish you could have seen more of the Olympics, top quality sport may not be too far away as the Hockey World Cup Masters arrives in Canterbury for a two week tournament from 14th to the 24th August. Making the most of the break between the Olympics and the Paralympic games, countries from all over the world will play at the home of Canterbury Hockey Club, Polo Farm
It’s not just visitors to the event that Mulberry can offer its luxury holiday cottages. Beckets House in Caterbury has been booked for the duration of the tournament by Mens Over 40’s player Simon Downer and his family. We wish him the best of luck in all of his upcoming games.
UPDATE (21/8/12): Simon has told us that the team have made it through to the semi-finals which will be played this Thursday (23rd August) at 16:50. If you are staying nearby, then please head down to Polo Farm to cheer them on!
UPDATE (29/8/12): Things couldn’t of gone much better for Simon and the team, as he contacted us to say that they had beaten Australia 3-1 in the Final to win the Hockey Masters World Cup! Congratulations to the whole team…
