It is with much fanfare and celebrity connections that Glynde launches its sixth annual English food and wine festival on the weekend of the 14-15th July. This highly successful celebration of all things good to eat and drink takes place once again in the grounds of the stunning Glynde Place, the home of festival founder Viscount Hampden.
There will be a selection of artisan food producers showing off their wares as well as multiple vineyards showcasing the best of English Wine, which is gradually recieving more praise both in the UK and overseas. There will be tastings and tutored sessions to ensure visitors leave knowing the gorgeous flavours and tastes available on their doorstep as well as foraging with local experts to gather the best of the land and even learning how to match beer with different foods with Masterchef winner Tim Anderson (2011). There is a ‘How To…’ tent and a children’s kitchen academy, allowing all the family to brush up on their culinary expertise.
With so much more on offer to attendees, why not take a look at the website www.glyndefoodfestival.co.uk for yourself (we defy your mouth not to water!). Tickets are £50 but include a glass of English fizz and a three course sharing feast also, as well as everything else there is to do… one word of advice however- go on an empty stomach!
Why not make a weekend of it and stay with us in our brand new country house located less than half an hours drive from the magic of Glynde… Home Farm House combines luxurious furnishings and features (swimming pool, extensive grounds, gorgeous features) with utter seclusion, allowing you a proper escape to the country this weekend! Home Farm House sleeps 10 and is available this weekend for £54 per person per night- so there is really no excuse not to see (and taste) this part of Sussex soon!
