We popped into one of our cottages last week and chanced upon the most gorgeous Farm Shop in Sussex. These lovely local shops are dotted around all over the country and really is the most relaxed way to shop.
Filled with delicious local produce, tomatoes grown in the village, French beans, runner beans and perfect little creamy coloured new potatoes, plus wonderful soft fruit and delicious home baked breads.
Not only do they have a lovely farm shop, there is also a lovely little cafe serving scrummy lunches and teas and coffees throughout the day. Added to this, there is Pick Your Own..
Fruit picking is one of those delightful summer activities that children and adults alike adore – there are 100’s of wonderful fruit farms dotted around the English countryside offering Pick Your Own facilities.
The excitement of rows and rows or berries, bursting with flavour. There is a wonderful quietness in a Pick Your Own field of raspberries – a few mutterings and quiet talking in distant rows, so peaceful, it is quite impossible not to try just one or three dark red berries!
