For a more remarkable holiday… why not bring your horse?

Anyone who is lucky enough to own a horse will tell you that aside from the pleasure of the clippy cloppy hooves, or a freedom felt galloping around the countryside, owning a horse comes with its fair share of responsibilites and hard work (many a morning is spent in the misty fields for Suzanne, our Area Manager who has two horses of her own!).

Old Nellie couldn't believe her luck!

These responsibilities are at their highest when organising a trip away.. since EasyJet won’t allow Whisper or Duke into the hold I guess that trip to Spain is out of the question, and who can you possibly ask to get up at the crack of dawn everyday to look after Molly when you’re away? Here at Mulberry Cottages, we’ve got the solution… take your horse with you!Imagine introducing your pony to the wilds of the sand dunes (a stones throw from our property, Shuttlesfield Barn in Folkestone)

We have a growing selection of horse friendly properties with views like the one below (from Oaklands Farm Cottage near Battle East Sussex), where you can explore new fields, beautiful woodland scenery or windswept coastal promenades with your horse, retiring in the evening in comfortable surroundings with a glass of chilled white wine in one hand and a bridle in the other (not that we would ever advocate drunk-riding!).

Just your average, everyday, run-of-the-mill hack then...

Its a fantastic opportunity for those who want a holiday but can’t bear to leave their ponies at home, call Mulberry Cottages on 01233 813087.
