The Isle of Wight offers so much to see, the island is diverse from rural delights to seaside fun, and is especially well known for its sailing, in particular the annual Cowes Sailing Regatta. With this in mind, let’s show you our first Isle of Wight country cottage – the quirky Cowes Townhouse.
The Cowes Townhouse is an eclectically designed property, with a truly unique coastal and nautical theme which of course fits in perfectly with your surroundings on the beautiful Isle of Wight.
The Cowes Townhouse features contemporary art throughout complete with quirky furniture and ornaments this unique property truly embodies the local nautical theme.
A short stroll down the road from the townhouse will take you directly to historic Cowes High St which is a vibrant area for vintage shopping and retail therapy in general, with many boutique stores mixed in with nautical shops and quirky gift shops, it is easily navigated along the pedestrianized High Street, perfect for family groups with children. The parade which sits close to the house is a great place to take a stroll, and makes for an easy scenic walk along to the neighbouring village of Gurnard.
From The Cowes Townhouse you can enjoy the unique feature of Cowes being split into two by the mouth of the River Medina. Both sides of the town are steeped in maritime heritage, with large marinas making them very popular for sailing all year round, and the world’s largest sailing regatta “Cowes Week” takes place here every summer.
