As we all look out of the window in longing for the weekend at this time on a Friday afternoon- Mulberry Cottages have an idea of something that will definitely tickle your taste buds this weekend….
The Wye food and drink festival kicks off today with loads of interesting, locally produced and delectable food stuffs to take home or if you simply can’t wait, just eat on site! The beautiful village of Wye, situated in the heart of an area of outstanding national beauty is playing host this year to the biggest food festival yet- celebrating best of British along with this dynamic and interesting community.
Why not try some locally produced beers in the beer tent, keep a clean conscience and grab some organic, fair trade produce, plant up and take home your very own cabbage (try explaining to six year olds how cabbage patch kids are born- the worst birds and the bees chat ever!), or even use all your brought produce together and make a picnic to enjoy along with entertainment on the village Green. There are children’s art competitions, pick your own fresh fruit and veg and other quintessentially English activities to keep anyone who loves food (from 4 to 94) entertained!
Take the whole family away to see what all the fuss is about this weekend and stay with us at the beautiful Claremont House- located in the heart of beautiful Wye and boasting period features and a large kitchen (very important for cooking up the produce that you buy!). Claremont House sleeps 8 and is available this weekend for just £35 pounds per person per night… what are you waiting for?!
