This coming weekend is a great cycling event on the Isle of Wight. Perfect opportunity to get on your bike for the first May Bank Holiday. Easy as pie… catch the Wightlink ferry over to the Isle of Wight and join around 2,000 cyclists for the annual Randonnee riding around the Island on the 55km or 100km route. If you need somewhere to stay, just click here and we’ll take you through to our Isle of Wight page.
Such a great weekend as there’s the choice of two rides, either the full Island circuit of 100km with quite a few hills or the shorter 55km route, you will receive a Rondonnee certificate for all riders completing their circuit of choice and there’ll be refreshments on sale at various places along the route.
A visit to the Isle of Wight starts with the adventure of getting over on the ferry! What a treat to leave Portsmouth, Southampton or Lymington and see the land getting smaller and smaller and arrive on the Isle of Wight as quickly as half an hour later.
