Top tips for keeping children busy in Sussex this Easter

Just lovely to pack your bags, your children and your dogs and head off to a holiday cottage for a few days.

Easter holidays can be on the long side but at least the weather should be getting so much better.  There is always the challenge of keeping the children occupied so they don’t end up watching and playing on screens for too long!

Even when you’re on holiday, you can be pushed for ideas to keep them occupied. Luckily if you’re holidaying in this part of the world or opting to book a last minute break, we have plenty in the way of attractions here in Sussex to keep the whole family entertained!

Take the kids to Drusilla’s Zoo – Kicking off this year’s star studded line-up, The Fat Controller will be causing a locomotion when he alights at the Park to take control of the efficient running of the Thomas & Friends™ railway.

There will be visits from Pepper Pig and George, and Hello Kitty, something for everyone.  While you’re there, enjoy all the hundreds of fascinating animals and adventure play parks – all in all a great day out!

Book into Ditchling Museum, for there they are holding lots of artsy crafty sessions, for example making your own dyes!  Making colour naturally is loads of fun! Children can learn to turn your plain egg bright orange with onion skins, or pink with beetroot, try and make a spotty pattern if you can.

It is for children aged 6-11, bring a packed lunch.
