What do you think the British National Bird should be?

We are a nation of Bird Lovers, so many enjoy watching birds in our gardens, you just have to go to any garden centre and see the huge array of bird feeders available plus all those fat bird balls and bird tables, we just love them!  Heard an interesting chat with Jilly Cooper on Radio 4 this morning discussing  her thoughts on choosing a National Bird.

Well from today you can vote for a National Bird out of a selection of 10 birds, the Barn Owl, Blackbird, Blue Tit, Hen Harrier, Kingfisher, Mute Swan, Puffin, Red Kite, Robin and Wren.  Where is the Thrush, such a lovely birdsong?  Or the Yellowhammer?

And why do we have the Puffin, how many Puffins do you see wandering around the gardens of the UK?  We have got until the 7th May to vote, so get onto the website and put your vote in  http://www.votenationalbird.com/

For those who love the idea of bird watching, we have some great cottages, all over the UK, perfect for watching our feathered friends.

Nestled deep in the Sussex countryside, this secret hideaway house provides the perfect escape from the world.
