With recent excitement surrounding Chapel Down wine and the Royal wedding it is hardly surprising that the South Eastern vineyards are producing continuous quality.

Winning Rose Brut from Chapel Down

The sparkling Rose Brut made by Chapel Down, of Tenterden in Kent, was among one of 12,000 wines entered into the wine challenge, and one of 406 who won gold. The grapes are hand picked and transported to the winery where they are carefully pressed and fermented for up to 3 weeks. Chapel Down conduct guided tours of the winery and vineyards which is a perfect chance to understand the full process of wine making these are bookable via the website.

Not only has Chapel Down Winery won gold in The International Wine Challenge for their Rose Brut but Denbies Wine Estate of Surrey have also claimed gold for their Chalk Ridge Rose 2010.
