Of course, all of us at Mulberry Cottages are used to mixing with the crème da la crème of British society and are completely at home in the company of sports stars, actresses and all the movers and shakers (ahem..), but we can’t help being a little bit excited about Writer’s Cottage in Whitstable, where the famous romantic novelist Margaret Pemberton penned many of her novels. Stay and relax in the peaceful and romantic surroundings of Writer’s cottage, perfectly suited to a short break by the seaside or a coastal getaway.
The prolific author, who also writes under the pseudonym Rebecca Dean, Carris Carlisle and Maggie Hudson has produced over 40 novels, has served as the Chairman of the Romantic Novelists Association from 1989-1991. Margaret Pemberton has also served on the Crime Writers Association Committee and continues to live and work in the chic seaside town of Whitstable.
Why not follow in her footsteps and see if you’re equally inspired by the quaint and pretty Writer’s Cottage? Mulberry Cottages are happy to offer it to all those budding authors, romantic couples or even couples visiting on their holidays! Relax in the cosy living space complete with many examples of Margaret Pemberton’s work to lose yourself in and get a good night’s sleep in the spacious double bedroom, tucked away in the eaves.
Writers Cottage is available from the 18th February, sleeps two and is priced at £340 for a week. As Margaret Pemberton is a dog lover, the property is also suitable for man’s best friend!
