In the heart of White Cliffs Country, this delightful cottage lies in the cliff top village of St Margaret’s at Cliffe set in a quite simply breathtaking part of picturesque coastline, with the village and the bay below sharing in beautiful views over the Channel to France. An explorers paradise, whether a keen walker, cycling enthusiast, a couple or family, there is so much waiting to be explored nearby. From the stunning walks that can be had along the cliffs to the famous South Forelands Lighthouse along the National Trusts walking trail, to the impressive Dover Castle and nearby seaside town delights such as Deal. Come evening, why not wander along to one of the two locally renowned pubs for a hearty meal after a day exploring!
The beach, just a few minutes drive away, sits nestled beneath the cliffs, in a sheltered and pretty bay. At low tide it is ideal for rock pooling and crabbing, and the Coastguard Pub on the beach is a welcome stop to enjoy a meal and local draught beer.
Built in the early 1700s, this once former pub has been beautifully renovated to create a stylish yet homely holiday cottage. With a modern, fully equipped kitchen, amply sized open plan living and dining area, and two comfortable bedrooms to rest your head come sundown. The patio garden with rattan sofa and chairs offers the perfect place to relax during warmer months, and is ideally enclosed making it perfect for both children and dogs.
