About Hinwick House - Sleeps 20

Hinwick House was built in 1701 as a replica of the original Buckingham Palace. Sensitively restored to its former glory, the house exudes charm, comfort and elegance. The current owners have scoured the world to return original pieces to the house but always with supreme comfort in mind to ensure you have a memorable stay.

Relax in the library or party in the cocktail bar, have a wonderful dinner in the magnificent dining room or hold a special occasion or wedding in the Great Hall, it's all just at your fingertips and perfect for allowing your guests to relax and enjoy. The 10 bedroom house sprawls over an expansive three levels and has been meticulously renovated and restored creating stunning and timeless interiors. Everything has been designed for those who are looking for the very best, a stay here will not disappoint in delivering a truly exclusive experience.

The views in all directions are wonderful, with deer grazing in the parkland that surrounds the house. Explore the wonderful gardens and grounds - play croquet on the lawn and imagine yourself in the Edwardian era. In addition to the main house, stables, two ornamental lakes, deer park, magnificent clock tower, and a lovely period walled garden which completes the scene, giving you space for all your guests to wander, bike, play or just sit back and soak in this stunning country house.

The 38 acre estate is nestled on the edge of the pretty village of Hinwick, on the Bedfordshire/Northamptonshire border and only 50 minutes travel by train from central London.

There are lots of activities on offer, sports and spa treatments; gardens and gastronomy, country pursuits and culture; history and heritage and experienced staff will prepare it just for you. The house can be fully catered or resident guests can self-cater, just ask us for details. A sleepy little country hamlet nestled on the Bedfordshire/Northamptonshire border. 6 miles from the town of Wellingborough, that offers a direct 45 minute train to London St Pancras, and within an hours drive of Cambridge.

Hinwick House: Sleeping up to 20, there are 10 bedrooms in the main house with 7 bathrooms

Main House
7 reception rooms including Drawing room, Dining room with seating for 28, Library (ideal for wedding services in conjunction with adjoining Drawing Room), Morning Room, the Great Hall (ideal for wedding services, receptions or celebrations of any kind). Over the other floors you will find 3 kitchens one also suitable for commercial use, The Snug, the Cocktail & Lounge bars, 2 Lounges, Reading Room and also a Gym.

Within the estate
The estate consists of gardens and grounds extending to 38 acres (multiple locations for marquees), a tennis court, 2 ornamental lakes, a deer park and ample parking. There are 5 gates for entry to the estate.

Queen Anne House & Victoria Wing

Ground Floor:
Morning room: with 2 fireplaces and piano.
Drawing room: fireplace - (for wedding services seating for guests is in this room facing the library)
Library: fireplace, French doors - which is licensed to hold wedding services
West Hall: an impressive sweeping staircase with a dramatic 20ft custom created Bohemian crystal chandelier
Cocktail Bar: with bar and all that is needed to make cocktails - a great place for preparing drinks receptions
Dining room: with fireplace, can seat 16 guests with large chairs or up to 28 with banqueting chairs

Entrance foyer: which can be used for visiting guests so that they do not need to enter the main house
The Great Hall: can be set up for all guests to dine together and can also be used for functions, wedding services and wedding receptions. It comfortably seats over 80 dining guests.

The Victoria Suite: (sleeps 2) king size four poster bed, views over parkland, door to en-suite with impressive roll top bath and shower in the centre of the room.
The Prince Albert Room: (sleeps 2) double bed, views over parkland, door to jack and gill en-suite bathroom with bath. There is also a connecting door into the Victoria en-suite so that both rooms can be used together for bridal parties or families.  
The Walpole Room: (sleeps 2) king size four poster bed, views over the front entrance and parkland, bathroom is shared with the Prince Albert room across the landing. Connecting doors into the Victoria Suite and the Reading Room if needed.
The Reading Room: a quiet space with sofas, and fireplace to read.
The Churchill Suite: (sleeps 2) king-sized bed, views over the front entrance and parkland, bathroom with bath is shared with the Clementine Room across the landing.
The Clementine Room: (sleeps 2) double bed, views over the rear courtyard and clock tower, the bathroom with bath is next door and is shared with the Churchill Room.
Hallway through to Victoria wing and stairs leading from ground floor and stairs leading to the second floor
The MacMillan Room: (sleeps 2) double bed, views over the front entrance and parkland, bathroom with bath and shower is shared with the Clive across the landing.
The Clive: (sleeps 2) zip link king size/twin beds, views over the front entrance and parkland, bathroom with bath and shower is shared with the McMillan Room across the landing.
The Wilde Suite: (sleeps 2) king size bed, views over the rear courtyard and clock tower, en-suite with bath and shower overhead

Queen Anne side of the house Second Floor:
