WHAT MAKES IT SO LOVELY

STAYING AT Hill Place

When you step through the front door of Hill Place, you will feel transported to another life. Filled with the most wonderful antiques and sumptuous soft furnishings, the house is quite exquisite.

The bedrooms are beautifully furnished, with comfortable bedding and cushions - televisions and DVD players in each room. Bathrooms are finished to an exceptionally high standard with five bathrooms throughout including two en suite shower/bath rooms.

The owners can organise anything you wish for... from country sports to cooking master classes, sailing to buggy racing, anything you can think of! If you do not wish to create your own delicious meals, they can arrange caterers to do it all for you!

But then again, you may want to curl up on one of the sofas in front of a log fire and read - either choose from the library or pick up a magazine, and totally relax. Just gazing out of the window at the ever changing view or exploring the 2 acre garden is a real treat! For warm summer days and evenings there is a BBQ and outside seating.

Hill Place is the perfect location for your wedding - you can organise as much or as little of the day as you wish.

For whatever reason you are gathering together, a family celebration, a reunion or just getting together with friends, you could not pick a more quintessentially English country setting!

"Your relaxed and no fuss approach worked really well for us, coming together to go through the details a few weeks before the wedding put our minds at rest that everything would be taken care of. And it was. Sarah, and I’m sure many people behind the scene, made the whole weekend work perfectly. Every time we popped in, we were met with a smile, a cup of tea and one or two, or three, lovely friendly dogs. We felt at home, and would happily move in to Hill Place (if ever you are looking for a lodger!). Our guests loved the venue, as did we, and Im sure it will be a talking point for many years to come. We had and amazing evening, and loved waking up there as Mr & Mrs, surrounded by friends, family and most importantly to Tim and I, our beloved dogs (who also want to move in!). We wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you for making it look so effortless, and so perfect. Thank you."

October 2013

"On behalf of my husband and I!!!!! I just wanted to thank you for Saturday and all your hard work on the day and leading up to it. It was amazingly helpful to have you there thinking of me/us throughout our time at Hill Place and I hope you managed to have some fun too!! Everything was perfect and everyone has commented on how brilliant the day was."

October 2013

"From our first enquiry Will and Rebecca could not have been more helpful. With unpressured yet comprehensive advice on possible suppliers to ease of access for the day and exclusive use of the venue they made it all a wonderful experience. When the car I had organised to take me to church fell through at the last minute Will had me a replacement (local supplier) arranged in less than a day - HUGE thanks and peace of mind. I was deployed with the military the month before and they were super at fielding information and phone calls which I couldn't make, translating them to e-mail for me. It was great to be able to make arrangements from a distance, with such trust that the day would be as I wanted and not to anyone else’s scheme. The service on the few days before and on the day was outstanding with nothing too much of a problem. We had arranged to go away early from the reception which they were happy to accommodate and allow us to collect things after our honeymoon. We were very pleased that they allowed us to store our wine with them having had it delivered to Hill Place several weeks earlier. A place full of very happy memories which I hope will go from strength to strength. Will and Rebecca's enthusiasm really lends to the business and the dogs add a touch of character :-)"

August 2013

"Thanks for a truly great weekend. Many of our friends still talk about it being the best wedding they have been to."

July 2013

"I am so pleased that we chose to have our wedding at Hill Place. The team at Hill Place are amazingly friendly and they were there to help us with every step of what is, let’s be honest, a fairly stressful process. The building, itself, is absolutely stunning and the comments we received from our guests were that it was such a wonderful place to have a wedding. The wedding photographs are also beautiful because of the amazing backdrops offered both inside the house and outside in the extensive grounds. We were able to make complete and private use of Hill Place in whatever way suited us and it meant that we could have a completely distinct and personalised day. We would wholeheartedly recommend Hill Place to anyone for any celebration and would once again like to extend our deepest thanks to all the team at Hill Place for such a brilliant experience. We have since been back to Hill Place to have a catch up and share memories and photographs of our wedding day. This is because every wedding is thought of as important and individual to Hill Place, irrespective of whether you have paid for a couple of rooms for half a day or you have booked the whole house for a week."

June 2013

"Well, we are back from Wales and still glowing from the weekend of the century. We have been swamped by well wishes of guests who had the time of their lives. . . seriously, we all collectively did something quite special. Thank you again. There were more than a few superlative comments about Hill Place. . . it was as magical as we had hoped."

May 2013

"We really enjoyed our stay and had a fab time. Ann was a treasure to deal with."
