About Tree Top Cottage


Treetop Cottage is a charming period cottage balanced on the top of the Greensand Ridge with fabulous views across the Weald of Kent, towards the sea. Tucked away, along country lanes in a small hamlet of period buildings the cottage would make an ideal getaway or retreat. It has pretty cottage gardens on several levels to sit in and while away the hours while enjoying spectacular views. With south facing terraces, a private space perfect for a spot of sun bathing on those peaceful summer days.

Inside, the cottage is full of period charm with a cosy log burner and attractive traditional furnishings, making it ideal all year around. There is lots of space with a separate sitting room and dining room and 3 comfortable bedrooms. If you can tear yourself away from the views, there is a good restaurant within a 15 minute walk (uphill on the way back!).

Well placed to explore this beautiful part of Kent and one of our favourite holiday lets in Maidstone, Treetop Cottage is a perfect getaway!

What makes this area
So special...

The Cottage lies a short way from the Greensand Way which is one of the finest walks across Kent. It is only 10 minutes' walk away from Boughton Monchelsea Place, which has an ancient deer park you can look over from the path. This untouched area had very good wildlife especially birds. There are excellent nearby pubs well as the multi-award winning Mulberry Tree restaurant.

Treetop Cottage: sleeps 6, 2 receptions, 3 bedrooms, 2 bath and shower rooms, private tiered gardens with incredible views, log burner. Parking.

There are a few steps leading down through the garden to reach the pretty cottage.

Ground Floor

Sitting room, seats 6 guests on sofas and chairs, log burning fire with starter logs provided, double aspect windows with views.
Dining room, table and 6 chairs.
Kitchen, includes fridge / freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Downstairs bathroom with shower.

First Floor

Master double bedroom (sleeps 2), double bed, ensuite bathroom with separate shower cubicle and bath.
Twin room with 2 single beds (sleeps 2), wardrobe.
Double room (sleeps 2) with large double bed.

Outside

Tiered garden with incredible views, gated and access to parking space and country lanes. Table and chair seating for all guests, Coal BBQ (no coal provided) . Safely enclosed for dogs and young children. A private garden area for guests.

Parking available, designated space for one large car or two average-sized cars (please contact the Booking team if you require further spaces)

Please also note, there are some steep steps to reach the entrance to the cottage. The cottage is detached and sits on top of a hill, with a private garden which no one can over look, but you may spot the Tree Top Cottage owners in their garden below, be sure to a wave a hello.

The stairs inside the property are quite narrow and steep which are not suitable for those with limited mobility.
