About Alkham Lodge

Set in a tranquil setting on the hill above the Alkham Valley, situated in the triangle between Canterbury, Folkestone and Dover you will find this beautiful cottage.

The lodge enjoys extensive leisure facilities to enjoy. It overlooks beautiful gardens with duck ponds and wildlife. The location is renowned for its stunning sunrises and sunsets.

The estate is surrounded by fantastic bridleways, footpaths and country lanes. It is perfect for those wishing walk or cycle in the countryside.

The lodge provides contemporary accommodation with furnishings that provide a warm atmosphere for holidaymakers. Perfect for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and as a base for friends to explore - with both the countryside and the coast nearby. The open plan space is well equipped to sleep up to four in two bedrooms.

The amazing facilities are just a few steps from the lodge which include a shared indoor swimming pool with hot tub, a full size gym, tennis courts, changing rooms, a pool table and entertainment space with BBQ.

By appointment only, beauty and therapy treatments, personal trainer/gym instructor and horse riding lessons/hacks can be arranged for guests prior to arrival (a min. of 48 hrs notice if possible). Ideal for pamper parties/hen weekends and team-building groups. In addition, shooting, fishing parties and tennis lessons can be arranged too.
The spa facilities may be shared with the neighbouring cottage.

Alkham Lodge is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of Kent. The Alkham Valley is recognised as an area of outstanding natural beauty. Nestling in the triangle between Canterbury, Folkestone and Dover with an abundance of things to do if you would get bored. London is 50 minutes by train or pop over to France from Dover or Folkestone, a short drive away. Ideal.

What you need to know

Children must be aged 12 or over.

Facilities include shared use of the indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, tennis courts, games room and a gym. Please note the outside terrace area is private.  Other services including beauty treatments and / or horse riding lessons can be arranged prior to arrival with at least 1 weeks notice, please inform a member of the Booking Team.

Note: next door to an active livery and stables. No visitors permitted without prior agreement.  Leisure centre open from 9am till 6pm. Pool treatment and cleaning takes place during the evening.

There are two properties on the site, both of equal standard and quality and guests will be allocated accommodation on arrival.

The converted lodge is set beside an equine estate and next door to an active livery yard.

Guests use the hot tub facilities at their own risk, and due to harsh chemicals used for maintenance purposes some skin types may react.
