About Sea View Cottage

Holiday cottages like these make a Kent coastal getaway 'Number One' on your top holiday destination list.

The owners of Sea View Cottage have lovingly restored this former 1840's coastguard cottage by adding beautiful Roma wood flooring, handpicked objets d'art and unusual maritime accessories, as well as using Farrow & Ball and chalk paints to create such a lovely seaside home; it's simply contemporary coastal chic at its best!

Offering open plan coastal living with a beautiful dining area opening out to the living room, split by a quirky staircase in the middle of the two. A two seater sofa bed, armchairs and a tranquil reading corner with a window seat looking out over the sea gives you space to enjoy with your family, or relax and unwind with a well-deserved drink and a quiet read. The light and airy dining area is a great place to sample the fresh fish and other local produce from Sandgate.

Wherever you are in this cottage, you can see and smell the sea. From the modern spacious family bathroom, the twin room or double bedroom on the 1st floor to the dining/sitting area, the sea welcomes you.

Don't forget to bring your bike, walking shoes or even in-line skates for some great coastal adventures. The flat surrounding surfaces are ideal for those pleasant cycle or rollerblade rides. Also, why not stop off at some of the delightful restaurants or cafes for a spot of lunch. Spend your day fishing, or hop on a boat trip or relax on the beach, however you choose to enjoy your break it's comforting to know that you can pop back to your oh-so-close cottage at any time.

"Have just returned from a great week spent in Sea View Cottage in Sandgate. The cottage was delightful- pretty, tasteful 'seaside' décor and the owners had thought of everything. We have stayed in many self-catering properties before but never in one so comfortable and well equipped. Fab location right on the beach and great restaurants and eateries just round the corner. Lots to do in the area, in fact did not cover all we wanted to see. So may have to return !"
