STAYING AT Goodnestone Park
As featured in both The Telegraph and Yahoo! Finance.

Transform a memorable occasion into something unforgettable by hosting your celebrations at Goodnestone Park, a stunning stately home in the wonderful Garden of England in Kent .

Goodnestone's charm is a magical combination of history, romance and beauty. Home to the same family since built in 1704, it is now sensitively restored to its former glory. Mixing traditional luxury with a contemporary vibe, its fabulous without being formal and the views are breathtaking. Goodnestone offer resident guests quintessentially English gracious living in an aristocratic private residence with impeccable high class standards. Totally renovated, there are 12 bedrooms with mainly en-suite bathrooms, 5 elegant but homely reception rooms and a brand new kitchen giving a traditional feel but with modern day comforts.

A perfect combination of the depths of the country and yet only an hour and half from Central London. The renowned gardens lovingly referred to as 'Sissinghurst without the crowds' set the scene for your stay at this beautiful Queen Anne Gem. Jane Austen was a frequent visitor as her brother married into the family that owned it and the house inspired her to write Pride and Prejudice after her stay.

There are lots of activities on offer, sports and spa treatments; gardens and gastronomy, country pursuits and culture; history and heritage and experienced staff will prepare the house just for you. Food at Goodenstone is a moveable feast. The house can be fully catered or resident guests can self-cater, just ask us for details. We can arrange cookery classes, helicopter rides, wine tasting, whatever the occasion, let us help arrange your itinerary and make your stay special.

Ideal for weddings, celebrations or a business meeting, Goodnestone is a blank canvas for an infinite variety of activities. The Park would be an ideal wedding location , small enough to host the most intimate and bespoke wedding and large enough to host a lavish occasion for up to 150 wedding guests.

"I arranged a Strategy Away Day at Goodnestone Park for the Directors and senior management of a public company of which I am Chairman; we were very well looked after by the staff at the house and on arrival we were given a tour of the renowned gardens by a member of the family. Because there were no other guests staying in the house (as there would have been in a hotel, for example), there was an intimate feel to our away day and we were able to discuss confidential strategic matters among our group, without fear of being overheard by strangers. The house has been refurbished and redecorated to a very high standard, and the bedrooms are very comfortable with ensuite bathrooms. We were so pleased with the experience that we have booked in for next year."

"'Thank you so much for everything you did to make my special birthday weekend go so well. All my guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and loved Goodnestone and the sumptuous rooms that we all stayed in. It is a beautiful house which has been stunningly renovated and it really is the perfect venue for such an event. An impressive house with fascinating history, but at the same time extremely comfortable and somewhere we surprisingly all felt very much at home!'"

Marim Family - August 2016

"'The kitchen-breakfast room is an amazing space for socialising throughout the day and the stunning dining room gives a more formal feel for evening dinner' she stated. 'There are two dishwashers, 2 huge fridge freezers and an amazing coffee machine which we all fell in love with. 'There was so much to enjoy at Goodnestone, the children ran around in the garden when the weather was good, loved exploring the house and even launched paper areoplanes out of an upstairs window. We played boardgames in the library when it clouded over, some of us visited the church in the grounds, there was even a piano where we had a singsong session which was really fun. Another fabulous addition to Goodnestone is the sound system - there's an integrated system in all the reception rooms that streams music from your phone or iPad - we loved the fact that we could listen to music in any of the ground floor rooms in the house.' [We had] a black tie dinner in the grand dining room, [with] drinks beforehand in the drawing room, candles were lit in the dining area and the chef, organised by Mulberry Cottages, produced the most delicious dinner - it was an event that we will remember for the rest of [our] lives."

Angela & Friends - August 2016

"'The house is such high calibre, beautifully interior designed, walking through every room is so inspiring - the attention to detail is exceptional' We've lived quite close to the Estate and have known it for many years. We’ve visited the gardens and walked through the woodland glades so when the opportunity arose to enjoy the entire house for a country house party weekend [we] jumped at the chance. We spent the weekend walking around the grounds in the sunshine, admired the views and relaxed catching up with good friends, the children play[ed] croquet and had fun in garden, [the] dogs had a lovely time too!"

The Hudsons & Friends - July 2016
