Transform a memorable occasion into something unforgettable by hosting your celebrations at Goodnestone Park, a stunning stately home in the wonderful Garden of England in Kent .

Goodnestone's charm is a magical combination of history, romance and beauty. Home to the same family since built in 1704, it is now sensitively restored to its former glory. Mixing traditional luxury with a contemporary vibe, its fabulous without being formal and the views are breathtaking.

A perfect combination of the depths of the country and yet only an hour and half from Central London. The renowned gardens lovingly referred to as 'Sissinghurst without the crowds' set the scene for your stay at this beautiful Queen Anne Gem. Jane Austen was a frequent visitor as her brother married into the family that owned it and the house inspired her to write Pride and Prejudice after her stay.

There are lots of activities on offer, sports and spa treatments; gardens and gastronomy, country pursuits and culture; history and heritage and experienced staff will prepare the house just for you. Food at Goodenstone is a moveable feast. The house can be fully catered or resident guests can self-cater, just ask us for details. We can arrange cookery classes, helicopter rides, wine tasting, whatever the occasion, let us help arrange your itinerary and make your stay special.

Ideal for weddings, celebrations or a business meeting, Goodnestone is a blank canvas for an infinite variety of activities.

"'The kitchen-breakfast room is an amazing space for socialising throughout the day and the stunning dining room gives a more formal feel for evening dinner' she stated. 'There are two dishwashers, 2 huge fridge freezers and an amazing coffee machine which we all fell in love with. 'There was so much to enjoy at Goodnestone, the children ran around in the garden when the weather was good, loved exploring the house and even launched paper areoplanes out of an upstairs window. We played boardgames in the library when it clouded over, some of us visited the church in the grounds, there was even a piano where we had a singsong session which was really fun. Another fabulous addition to Goodnestone is the sound system - there's an integrated system in all the reception rooms that streams music from your phone or iPad - we loved the fact that we could listen to music in any of the ground floor rooms in the house.' [We had] a black tie dinner in the grand dining room, [with] drinks beforehand in the drawing room, candles were lit in the dining area and the chef, organised by Mulberry Cottages, produced the most delicious dinner - it was an event that we will remember for the rest of [our] lives."

Angela & Friends - August 2016

"'The house is such high calibre, beautifully interior designed, walking through every room is so inspiring - the attention to detail is exceptional' We've lived quite close to the Estate and have known it for many years. We’ve visited the gardens and walked through the woodland glades so when the opportunity arose to enjoy the entire house for a country house party weekend [we] jumped at the chance. We spent the weekend walking around the grounds in the sunshine, admired the views and relaxed catching up with good friends, the children play[ed] croquet and had fun in garden, [the] dogs had a lovely time too!"
