About Three The Mews


Three the Mews is a selection of five three-bedded cottages surrounded by 3000 acres of formal gardens and landscaped countryside, and the most fabulous selection of health and leisure facilities. These self-catering cottages are perfect for relaxing holidays, short breaks and spa weekends. See below for the full list of all the amazing activities on offer.

Each cottage is completely self-contained and offers full self-catering facilities. The bedrooms provide hotel style luxury with towelling robes and slippers, and luxury toiletries.

The manor house hotel in the grounds is open for all guests to enjoy and is a spectacular building dating back to the Norman Conquest, with carved panelled rooms, a massive baronial stone fireplace and a huge welcoming log fire.

For those wanting some time away from the kitchen the Manor Restaurant can be booked for breakfast, lunch, afternoon teas and dinner and is a lovely quiet and tranquil atmosphere. For a more information dining experience, the Pavilion Restaurant also offers meals and is very family friendly, with a lovely sunny terrace overlooking the grounds.

Guests staying at the Mews cottages can also enjoy a superb calendar of events that take place throughout the year from summer theatre in the hotel courtyard, to jazz barbecues on the lawn, opera nights and a Christmas masquerade ball.

So special...

If you can drag yourself away from the wonderful activities on offer at The Mews, there is a wealth of things to do and see in this fabulous part of Kent. The cathedral City of Canterbury is a short drive away and Leeds Castle and Dover Castle close by. Adults and children alike will love the Port Lympne nature reserve and the South of England Rare Breeds Centre, and of course there is the lovely Kent coastline to explore.

Property details

Three the Mews: 5 three bedroom cottages lovingly restored from the original Victorian stable block within the grounds of the stunning 3000 acre country hotel estate. 

Some cottages sleep 6 and some sleep 5, please see below for more information. All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, with overhead shower. Towelling robes, slippers, towels and toiletries are all provided.

The kitchens are equipped with ceramic hob, microwave oven, fridge with ice box, an iron and ironing board.

Ample parking, 3000 acres of formal communal gardens, use of shared outdoor heated pool, indoor pool and many other leisure facilities. All cottages have a TV and DVD player, wifi and lockable safe.

Elderflower Cottage (sleeps 5)
A two storey cottage with a small enclosed garden with a gate providing easy access to the heated outdoor swimming pool, and the first tee of the golf course. Views stretch across the grounds to the Manor House.
Accommodation: An open plan living, dining, kitchen area on the ground floor, and a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom. On the first floor there is a double bedroom and a single bedroom both with ensuite bathrooms.

Orange Blossom Cottage (sleeps 6)
A two storey cottage with an enclosed garden accessed by an external gate. The cottage has views over the golf course and the Downs.
Accommodation: An open plan living, dining, kitchen area on the ground floor, and a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms. All ensuite bathrooms have a separate shower cubicle. One of the three doubles can be made into a twin room on request.

Primrose Cottage (sleeps 6)
A spacious two storey cottage with French door leading on to a small south facing patio terrace, with table and chairs.
Accommodation: An open plan living, dining, kitchen area on the ground floor, and a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms. All ensuite bathrooms have a separate shower cubicle.

Quince Cottage (sleeps 6)
A spacious two storey cottage with French door leading on to a small south facing patio terrace, with table and chairs.
Accommodation: An open plan living, dining, kitchen area on the ground floor, and a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have a separate shower cubicle.

Thistle Cottage (sleeps 6)

Guests can use all the onsite facilities both on the day or arrival and day of departure.

One dog per cottage welcome 

Ample parking

Cot and highchair available

Extra bed in sitting room for under 12's at £50 per child per day

The outdoor heated pool is only open during the summer months from May to September

Both the indoor and outdoor pools are unsupervised

(No under 3's in indoor pool and children between 3-16 years to swim between 11am - 6pm only)

Please note that the Spa and pool will be unavailable for use from 1 January - 1 March 2017 due to refurbishment.
