A home with bags of history and character complete with beams, exposed brick chimney breasts. You can imagine this home having been here for hundreds of years, with horse and cart going past the house en-route to historic Canterbury. Immediately on your doorstep you will find various interior shops as well as places for a bite to eat. The city wall, Canterbury Castle and Dane John Gardens are all a short walk from the cottage. If arriving by train at Canterbury East, an easy walk along the footpath next to the main road will bring you to the cottage in 5 minutes. An ideal property to rent in Canterbury.

Expect a more wholesome feel in this holiday home with a traditional layout of separate living and dining room, a galley kitchen and bathroom all on the ground floor. The bathroom has had a total refit and could be straight from a show room. The bedrooms, all supplied with crisp and sumptuous bedlinen, are spread over 2 floors with privacy for all. Some with their own shower and even w.c. and convenient mini basins too. The attic room can be utilized as an office, extra bedroom for 1 and has ample of storage space too.

Retail shops are all around you in this part of Canterbury as well as 2 main supermarkets at walking distance too.
For days out, Chilham is only a 10 minutes drive away and is ideal for country walks, afternoon tea and admiring Chilham Castle.

Take a short walk into town and enjoy a true city break. Also on your doorstep you can explore the surrounding countryside on foot or bike. A good combination for a city break.

It has so much to offer the holiday-maker including the Canterbury Cathedral and St Augustine's Abbey, both of which have been designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and both are well worth a visit during your stay in Kent. A whole day can be spent just exploring the Canterbury Cathedral, Crypt and Cloisters.

What you need to know

Paid parking in front of the cottage, free parking 2 minutes away from the property.  

There is a garden behind the cottage but this is not fenced off from the neighbour's garden. Please be aware of this and respect the neighbours' space.  

Please be aware that the stairwell to the attic rooms (3rd bedroom and 4th bedroom/office room) has a very low ceiling, so please mind your head.
