Your stay at The Manor Coach House will sure enough be one to remember. Wander the vast surrounding countryside and reward yourself with a tipple at a local village pub on your way home. This charismatic holiday home is perfect for a couples retreat or families wanting some down time in the countryside.

The Manor Coach House is enticing, spacious and charming. It has been lovingly restored by the owners to create a contemporary, upside down cottage with luxury furniture and fittings. The two kingsize bedrooms both have large stunning ensuite bathrooms, a spiral staircase leads to the first floor open plan living space where you will find a karaoke machine and record player and vinyl selection and be welcomed by the delightful smell of freshly baking bread on arrival. Leading out from the living space is a lovely teak balcony overlooking the large 1 acre garden where you will find an elegant walled terrace and garden furniture. Have some fun and enjoy a dip in the heated pool followed by a game of table tennis outside. Relax as the sun goes down and light up the BBQ for an enjoyable evening meal in this delightful sun trap.

This elevated property, sits high above the Stour Valley and has the benefits of being just a short drive to the historic City of Canterbury, as well as being surrounded by the picturesque Kent countryside, footpaths, cycle routes and a unique complex of lakes where day anglers can spend a happy day fishing. Enjoy some wonderful local walks along The River Stour and stop off at the local farm shop in Chilham for some tasty treats. And don't forget your dog! They'll love this wonderful and pet friendly cottage.

The Coach House is in the grounds of the owners manor house, parts of which date back to the 15th century and was mentioned in the Domesday Book.

This property allows for easy access to the City of Canterbury, as well as some lovely rural walks and cycle routes. There are three local pubs within easy reach - The Woolpack and The White Horse at Chilham, and The Artichoke at Chartham. With Chartham Vineyard just 1 mile from the property and Simpsons Vineyard less than 20 minutes away. There is also a Glass studio close by offering 1 day taster courses. You will be spoilt for choice.

The kitchen has an induction hob and fan oven, wine cooler fridge, Andrew James bread-maker (one bread mix will be provided), microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, fridge with ice box.
French doors lead onto a teak patio with bistro table and chairs and views of the garden.


There is a hot tub situated on the decking to the rear of the property.  Supplement charges apply

Outdoor heated swimming pool (4.6x12m).  Open between the hours of 10.00-16.00. The pool is open until November (weather permitting)

A Hot Tub can be booked for your stay for either the weekend or the week, please indicate at the point of booking if you'd like this option

What you need to know

A hot tub can been booked for £135 for 1-3 nights or £200 for 4-7 nights

Please note a single bed can be added to the ground floor bedroom on the right

2 cots, 2 highchairs and stairgates are available

Parking on the driveway for 2 cars, there is more space if required 

A gas BBQ and charcoal Weber BBQ are available for your use.  Both fuels are provided by the owner

The property has a spiral staircase. There is a pond in the owner's private garden, please ensure children do not enter this area

Dog bed and bowls will be provided by the owner, please advise on booking the size of the dog (so the correct bed can be provided)

A welcome pack for guests and their 4 legged friends are provided.  Freshly baked bread will be available on your arrival with local jams and an additional bread mix for your stay

The owner is able to pre book wine tastings, beauty treatments and Glass Studio taster days

The property is located approximately 20 minutes away from Whitstable where you can find Blue Flag beaches
